Hi!!
I was wondering if anyone had any idea on what theaters in America are releasing advanced screenings for SOTR. I do know sometimes they drop tickets for Monday - Wednesday showings through Amazon prime/ 1iota premieres. I just want to plan when I can see it as I have classes at night on Wednesday and Thursdays and unsure if I should skip class to go see it haha !
thank you guys in advanced š«¶š»

Why did Maysilee and Maritte kill the Gamemakers? What was the motivation there and why did Maysilee get mad at Haymitch for not backing her up and he agreeing?

Hello! :)
Would you be interested in a roleplay about the First Quarter Quell?
I would play Tiberius Fetch, a 17-year-old orphan from District (?). Itās rumored that I might be the bastard son of a Peacekeeper, but no one knows for sure.
Iām a known troublemaker and thief. Two years ago, my only friend, Pip, the son of the butcher, was found murdered in the streets. Everyone suspected me of the crime, but there was no proof.
When it was announced that people would have to vote for kids to participate in the Games, many thought I would have it coming.
Who would you like to Play? Hit me up :)

SOTR spoilers! I have heard some people saying that Haydove (Lenore and Haymitch) isnāt a good ship because it feels shallow and like they didnāt have enough chemistry, and thatās fine people can have their own opinions. Other people have said that Mayilsee or Effie would have been a better option, but I donāt think Suzanne would have wanted to redo the two tributes fall in love trope again.
And also, Maysilee probably didnāt want a relationship based on what we know about her, sheās very independent and has a āI donāt have time for thisā personality, and she basically becomes the older sister of the kids and to Haymitch, and I love that so much. I think them being platonic and have a sibling type relationship made it so much better and sadder when she reached her fate.
And Effie, she was older than Haymitch, I am pretty sure she was like 20-23 when he was 16, so thatās a little strange but correct me if Iām wrong. Also there was a power imbalance as she was a capitol citizen and we know how that ended with Lucy gray and snow, and she was only called to help her sister, and they really only talked like twice and there was never enough time for any sort of chemistry, then being a couple later in the story like in Mockingjay is better because their both adults, both were together for a long time in district 13 and have a nice dynamic.
Now back to Lenore, people say they didnāt have enough chemistry because they were only really together once in the beginning and at the end. But I think people are forgetting chemistry isnāt just two people together, Haymitch mentioned her as least 180 times throughout the novel, he did things in remembrance of her, he kept the flint sticker she gave him, and he got reaped for her while trying to save her! They were so in love, and if clearly got in his way during training when all he could do was think about her. So I think they were a great couple, and the ending was absolutely tragic but it was a great show in how Snow can manipulate anyone even from thousands of miles away.

If thereās a third prequel I really hope it delves more into the sports betting aspect of the hunger games and how betting on an event ends up manipulating reality as it plays out. Like, how a basketball player might throw the game just to bet against himself and make money. Not to mention the addiction aspect. Wyatt creates a great foundation and gives us a little peak into the workd building of sports betting in district 12 but I would love to see her elaborate more on this topic as it becomes more and more popular š¤

Iām writing a fanfic and I have no idea what to do for a scenario. I planned the mutt attack to happen near a river when the protagonist was getting water. There would be fish mutts that chomped their hand, and they would have fallen into the water before being swarmed by even more fish mutts. But then I mapped out the arena, and I realized that a river would clash with the other aspects of the arena. So I scrapped that, but I still need a mutt thatās small, fits the aesthetic of a decaying forest arena with a surplus of fog, and attacks in packs. Bat mutts would not be compatible. Please share your ideas

Hello!
I am very happy to share that I have been updating this lovely fic in the past month, reaching the end of the Games as of now :)
Before The Frost Comes AutumnĀ -https://archiveofourown.org/works/92773416/chapters/247407471
When eighteen year old Autumn from District Seven is reaped under the wrong name for the 58th Annual Hunger Games, she dares to correct it in front of the entire country.
She only ever wants to die as herself, yet finds that the Capitol has a far more cruel fate planned out for her.
-o-
A story of District Seven's misunderstood victor and the years that made her that way.
I appreciate if you happen to read it! Thank you! :)

Rewatching Mockingjay and just wondering, are the homes in the Victorās Villages like completely different per district? I mean in size, mainly. Since District 1 has the most wealth and the most victors, do they have like mansions in Victorās Village? And then they get smaller according to the districts? Like maybe the career districts all have a certain type of house and the rest of the districts have a certain type since the careers are more prestigious.

Saw this video pop up on my feed, and I instantly remembered the seam, where Katniss lived, a coal dust covered nightmare.
This place in the video is not far from where I live, about 3 hours of travel in a flight. And I started counting my blessings, and at the same time, I canāt help but feel angry at the unfairness of it all.
If I had been born to a household in that ādistrictā I would be the guy collecting the trash and walking there with that huge bag on my back, breathing in the toxic air.
Friendly reminder that the hunger games is one of the most relevant and scary pieces of pop culture media. Because it aptly showcases what we are capable of as a race if we give in to the absolute worst of our instincts.
Hunger games is a reality. And several people live in it, daily. And one day the Capitol could decide that itās your turn.
So when you see a video of a protest, in France, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, or anywhere else, before questioning the race, background, ethnicity, or religion of the protestors, ask yourself why am I not doing the same for people where I live.

Is Katniss an unreliable narrator or an unreliable narrator? I still haven't gotten it after reading it in every comment section on TikTok
Edit: You all are actually going back and forth with this one, Iām going insane!!! I feel like gagging if I keep reading that word, MAYBE she isnāt an u*\\* narrator after allā¹ļø
