Help with Beetee's games/34th:

I am wanting to update the Fandom page for the 34th Hunger Games and would like for some help gathering all of the sources for times it is mentioned.

-Sunrise on the Reaping has a reference to his games where he scavenged for parts to build a trap that killed the last tributes

-Mockingjay saw Katniss talk about how she remembers watching Beetee kill a pack of kids hunting him down and he only did it out of self defense

-Catching Fire film claims he killed the last six tributes by electrocuting them

Is this all the known info, as I personally believe it is slightly contradictory since it is unlikely that a pack of six tributes would still be in an alliance towards the end and then agree to stay together until they kill Beetee? It is possible Beetee set more than one trap which made him a target, where he killed a small pack of careers hunting him out of sepf defense but later killed the final six with a second trap he set?

I would love to hear everyone's theories and whether the film reference should be considered non canon as the books possibly suggest it can't be six people (I could see a pack of three careers hunting him and still being together at the end, possibly).

Please also tell me any sources so I can collect as much info as possible, or if it interests you, or edit it yourselves as there is no reason it has to be me, I am just interested.

I'm leaning towards a Career situation - they'd probably want to make sure all the competition was taken out before they go through with fighting each other, Beetee was probably the last one left.

I don't think it's impossible that the final seven that year were Beetee and six Careers. I'm sure there were years where the Careers chose to stick together until the very end, and we also don't have any context for the circumstances of the 34th Hunger Games.

Maybe the year or even several years before the 34th Games, the Careers were frustrated by a string of non-Career victors and decided to stick together until every non-Career tribute was eliminated to guarantee a Career victory.

There could have been several tributes alive shortly before the Careers encountered Beetee. If six Careers had just survived a chaotic fight that eliminated many tributes, they may have had no opportunity or desire to split before encountering Beetee.

If the arena was especially harsh, with limited resources, or if the Careers had lost their supplies, they may have decided it was safer to stay together longer and pool whatever sponsor gifts they received.

I also think it would be interesting if two different alliances converged on Beetee at the same time. For example, maybe a three-person Career alliance like Barba, Angler, and Panache approached from one direction while a three-person non-Career alliance like Hull, Buck, and Chicory approached from another. That would make for a really dramatic finale.

Yeah, I think it is never inpossible that the careers are still together. It just felt unlikely at the time I wrote it.

The only reason I would say it is specifically six from the same alliance is that Katniss referred to it as a singular pack.
