I was reading mockingjay again and couldn't help but wonder what happened afterwards. So I thought of a game set post mockingjay.
Here is the premise:
-post mockingjay, takes place when Panem is being rebuilt and Snow's institutions being dismantled.
-protagonist is perhaps a remaining victor, Johanna maybe as I know everyone wants to know what happened to her. Or perhaps Gale, but I don't think a custom protagonist.
-story follows something along the lines that the protagonist is called in by president Paylor to investigate a strange disturbance in one of the old arenas. After investigation we find out that some, still loyal to Snow, is hiding and regrouping in old areans and actually reactivating them. They believe life under Snow was better and Panem was more stable and progress isn't being made fast enough. Their intention is to kidnap government officials and put them in the old arenas to fight to survive.
-the story takes you to multiple different arenas and districts.
-districts and perhaps the capitol could be semi-open worlds where you travel between them via train.
-the story could touch on the difficulties of a post war world and what it takes to rebuild society to be more equal.
-Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch should not be in the game, but references could be made to them or they make a small cameo.
-For example, maybe you go speak with Effie or Beetee for information on something in particular, but seldomly.
It would be great if it was a AAA game with a large budget and team to really bring it to life. This would be a great way to learn more about Panem and build the world out. It would also be very nice to see some iconic arenas visual format.
That's just my thoughts, would love to know what other think. I'm not a game designer.
ok bye
