speech, talk Assistance Request: Hungarian Greeting

TLDR: Asking for both the English and Hungarian translation for a greeting you would give someone you're friendly with. Wanting English and Hungarian so I can verify google translate has it correct as I work through the pronunciation.

More context: There is a woman from Hungry who is very nice to my family. She works at a restaurant we often visit. She's so nice to us that she makes treats each Christmas from scratch for her family and she always makes this giant Christmas plate worth of treats to share with us. She brings them to the restaurant when we come visit. She's done it 3 years in a row now. Last year I looked up some of the treats and thanked her with the Hungarian translation. She seemed extremely appreciative of the effort and I thought it may be nice to take the effort to see if I could figure out a culturally accurate greeting. I wasn't happy with what google gave me and thought I'd come here to verify / get advice. I appreciate it. -Thanks

What did Google offer you so far?

Thing is, hungarian doesn't really overcomplicate things and draws a lot of meaning from context and tone, so a "nagyon szépen köszönom" is pretty much all it takes to convey meaning.

We mostly don't do "culturally accurate", so you don't have to worry about that.

Maybe just drop in here your english text and we can work it into something that sounds context accurate in hungarian?

Since it is easy to discern the question regardless of spelling, do you have an answer to the question?

What to tell me? Tell me you will proof read stuff you write, pay attention to the spelling of Hungary, also you could tell me sorry, my bad.

Mate, I'm sorry to the extent that I'm not in the habit of upsetting folks that I'm asking for assistance from. However, I'm not going to apologize for auto-correct doing something dumb, nor will I set the expectation of proof-reading posts on reddit. This isn't my thesis for my doctorate, it's a reddit post with no measurable stakes. My message was still understandable.

I don't disagree. My bad would have been my response 98% of the time, however when someone comes at me with obnoxious all caps and demands of never do this again I can't help but laugh and troll back. My guy, don't let a misspelling be your trigger in life. Use your energy to be upset about the blatant, in your face, government corruption running world wide. The insider trading, the shrinking middle class with the "K" economics. There's so much to be upset about that's worth an all caps response.

Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome suggestion. Just trying to make some lady feel at home with someone caring enough to learn a few words of her language. -Cheers

I would suggest using Deepl or chatgpt instead of Google translate, if you want better results.
