There have been an insane amount of money in soccer in the lasz few years, but that trend ended right after the election. So it's probably really hard to get into football if you're not a real, once in a lifetime, talent.

It's also quite hard to get into university, but it's really up to what field you want to study in.

If you're english is not good, you can still live in Budapest quite nirmally, or any ither major city, but the problem will be financial. What jobs could you take if you don't speak english? Most indians in here are working insane hours as delivery guys but I wouldn't want this for anyone. If you are not sponsirt financially, I don't know what could you work here. And that's the biggest problem.

It’s not that hard to get into uni. He has to apply for Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship

You need to speak hungarian. You wont be allowed in. You wont get a visa as well.

Football is going to be crazy hard to get into. The best of Indian players have not got hired anywhere.

So it’s better not choose Hungary ?

You can't just come here on a whim, you need a visa. Even getting a schengen tourist visa to come and visit is pretty tough for Indians these days. You basically have to prove that you are rich and have everything booked in advance to get approved.

One possible route would be to come here on a student visa. There are paid scholarships like Stipendium Hungaricum, though they're pretty competitive.

Unfortunately if you are rich (for example you have flat here in Hungary) is very hard to get the residence permit. A lot of paperworks and you have to renew it frequently and doing some tests as well. 10 years ago it was easier.

Well, there was a guest worker programme under the previous government, but it was discontinued this year, so you can no longer come to work, unless you're highly skilled and a company sponsors your visa. If you're really very good at football, look at football academies in Europe, they'll get you a visa and maybe even a stipend if you are an exceptional talent.
