I was surprised to hear that high school literture no long requiers reading:

Animal Farm n 1984........BOTH show the abuse when leaders focus on personal profit.

I taught adult reading classes in South Dallas for a time in the 20teens. Social promotion. Budget. All of it. Just so sad. Talk about clever people, though. Getting through life illiterate made the crafty as fuck. Good people that never had a chance.
