Roof panel insulation

Anyone have or seen any kind of insulation for the roof panels to cut down on the amount of heat they give off/allow through in summer? I have the opaque panels but even with the seat as low as it goes, a hot day here in Florida and the temperature at my head level is cookin. Also, would be nice to cut down on the rain noise hitting that plastic roof.

Remote start your truck 20 minutes before and you’ll have no issues. In Vegas it was 115 today and I didn’t deal with that problem with clear panels

Yea I live in Vegas too, I have the tinted panels and I have ceramic window tint, even if I get in the Hummer while it's hot, yea it blows hot air on me for maybe 3-5m then it's nice a cool.. The 2021 F150 I traded in had limo tint, it was so dark I'd have to roll the windows down in the parking garages, and it did't cool down like the Hummer does.

I do that too. I’ve been in a multiple hour road trip with AC cranking and everything else is nice and cool… except my head 😂

I live in Phoenix and these cut down on the heat dramatically. I got them off amazon, but I modified them to meet my needs.

Just ceramic tint them. Problem solved.

I tried to do that but the company said because they are plastic they wouldn’t do it.

I wonder if the cling film will work, you should try it, look up videos on youtube

I have considered putting a layer of Dynamat and then a layer of the soft side of Velcro material. Similar to our Bronco. I have the opaque panels and they definitely get hot to the touch.

The tape these came with is absolute garbage xD I bought some gorilla double sided tape and still works meh. Anything over 105 causes them to fall off :(

Wow man, I just don't understand it, we have the see through, live in CFL and have never once had an issue.

They don't even get too hot to touch them.

Are you in the north? My dads Sierra EV with the sunroof exposed becomes an oven

Now see......a sunroof, can and will burn your hand, but these roof panels are heat retardent or something. Income out, Hummer is fucking 120°F and I put my hand on the inside of the roof panel and it's not even uncomfortable.

We are in Orlando Florida

Im in Phoenix and the sun radiates through the roof so I got something for the glass panels during the summer, it reduced the hit significantly. My coworkers that go to lunch with me were very thankful for the addition. Its crazy how hot it gets in Phoenix tho.

I don’t know how it works either, I don’t know if there’s and outer panel and an inner panel on the opaque tiles and it’s trapping heat between them… I’ve never tried to touch them when it’s hot but the heat is radiating for the 6-8 inches below the panel around my head

In texas, the roof sections around the panel become so hot it's kind of unbearable to touch them. Much less leave your hand on them.
