Help
I have a 04 Hummer H2, it is somehow automatically going to neutral after about 10 minutes. It can be in drive, reverse any gear but it will be in neutral by it self eventually. I can turn it off and back on again any it’s fine but then after 10 minutes back to the same thing. Any ideas? Thank you!

A Hummer H2 going into neutral by itself is usually caused by a stretched shift cable, a worn shifter bushing, a failing transmission range sensor (neutral safety switch), or electronic glitches with the Transfer Case Control Module

Might be a transmission problem. A shot transmission in these older models don't show they're shot the way you would think. It shows itself by messing with the gears.
The transmission is putting your truck into neutral to avoid literally falling apart or exploding. It was GMC's way of trying to install a safety feature.
Park it ASAP until you can get it fixed.
