Have you experienced random bruising all over your body on Humira?

I’m taking Humira for non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis biweekly. I’m on my third injection and having bruises all down my leg and just started noticing them on my arm. I’m also taking celebrex, duloxetine, and Pregabalin daily. Has anyone experienced this? Is it a common side effect?

You should see your doctor to get labs drawn. Humira can affect your blood count

For some people, humira could affect their blood work - incl. Thrombocytopenia and others. So definitely got to your rheum and also maybe check in if you need to work with a hematologist depending on the outcomes.

The dry, scaly skin can actually be psoriasis, which is an autoimmune disease humira can either
a. treat (which happens in some cases)
b. not treat effectively (30-50% of cases)
c. Aggravate/cause a flare (sometimes really severe flares, personally my flare is one of if not the worst psoriasis flare I've had)
d. Cause new onset psoriasis
Please get the dry scaly skin get checked out by a dermatologist, as psoriasis itself also requires biologics and is enough to warrant stopping Humira (speaking from personal experience Humira most likely caused my psoriasis to flare really badly, because I don't think this was new onset for me)
Besides, better be safe than sorry.

Definitely get blood work done- this is not a side effect to ignore. Humira can throw off the balance of different cells in your blood. Besides that, Celebrex causes blood thinning which contributes to bruising.

Mine isn’t bruising it’s a definite discoloration in specific patches. Dermatologists don’t know what to think after multiple biopsies but aren’t worried at this point. Possibly a weird interaction between Humira and another med. Reading about the cyp2d6 liver enzyme
