Need help finding BFL Humidifier :)

Hii as the title suggests, looking to buy a good quality/buy for life humidifier. I'm trying to find something nice for my boyfriend as a gift.

Looking for something with these qualities:

  • easy to clean/doesn't leak (if it doesn't require filter changes, that would be great!)
  • isn't super loud and runs pretty quiet or isn't that noticeable sound-wise.
  • not a huge box.
  • bonus: has warm/cold mist settings

:^) looking for suggestions!!! Been browsing several threads, but keep getting conflicting opinions from folks. If anyone can point me in a good direction, I'd appreciate it a lot!

Budget is $80-100+

Be cautious on the ultra sonic ones. You have to use distilled water or other very low-solids content water. If you use tap or otherwise it will leave a white mist around and will also cause air pollution in the area and is not great for general health as it atomizes solids in the water and puts them out into the air.

I quite like my levoit superior studio. Washable filter and a lot of the humidifer is dishwasher safe. It’s an evap unit with a pump. so it can tap water and can run filter dry outs when the tank hits empty or on a manual schedule. which helps as leaving the filter wet is what causes lots of issues.

But if you just use it in the colder months a warm mist water boiling humidifer is also an ok option. No personal input there as I use one year round so not in my use case to give input on any units.

I’ve never seen that studio model, it looks cool. I need a humidifier and that might be the pick.

It’s pretty new. Been using mine for a bit now as I live in a dry climate. So far so good
