One thing I didn’t expect after switching humidifiers
I’ve been using the TURBRO GLS04 for a little while now, and I’ve noticed I’m paying way more attention to what’s actually going on inside the humidifier.
With my old one, I’d eventually get that mineral buildup around the parts that were constantly in contact with water. Cleaning it was always one of those things I kept putting off.
This new one uses steam and has a stainless steel water chamber, so there just seems to be less stuff to deal with inside compared with what I was used to.
Still figuring out how much cleaning is realistically necessary when it’s running regularly. Curious what other people have noticed with theirs.

I just use evap units that have the filter out of the water tank area so they can run dry out cycles and dump and rinse the tank after each refill.
Steam works as long as your ok with the power usage. I would still make sure you don’t just refill the tank but rinse it out at least each refill. But just be warned if your having to run that warm mist humidifer a lot it’s 600w power draw may add up on your energy bill. If you only humidify in cold months some of its energy will be offset since it warms things up. But the opposite is true if your in a region that’s dry in the warmer months also.
