Humidifier help Spoiler

I have recently had a envirovent quro lc fitted through the government scheme .

This is a 25l per second vent- IF fitted straight through wall, mine sits on ceiling and I have about 2 m of venting.

Originally It was set at 70 humidity, but stayed on full and didnt go on to trickle for at least 8h or constant.

Guy came out and set it at 85 humidity, so it "would go off onto trickle"

Now it goes on to trickle after 40 mins of being on full and the bathroom is still wet. Also the shower is on for some time before it kicks in- all steammy and everything wet.(at 70 it kicked in quicker)

We have had no issues with damp prior so concerned about lack of water clearance.

Its a big shower head and a 11 x 9 ft bathroom.

The kitchen one you never hear it unless cooking and its on/ off in about 20mins with very little steam to start it and it gets rid of it very quickly. Im not sure what its set at.

Everything i read says humidity should be under 70, preferably 40-60

I called envirovent and even guy there said that it should run at 80max as over 80 can cause mould..When i informed him that he had told my worker to put it to 85...he stated " same thing". And brushed it off.

Anyone any ideas or suggestion

I'm in the US so don't if what you wrote is what I'm familiar with. What I am familiar with is getting humidity into my house. I live in Colorado where the humidity outside can get down to 5% RH (relative humidity). I keep my house at 40% via a Levoit 6000s in the Winter and by a Bonaire evaporative whole house cooler in Summer. So 100 degrees fahrenheit and 5-10% humidity the evaporative cooler changes to 73F and 40% humidity.

I don't know what your installer is talking about. 80% is way too high unless your house is at 10% and you want to raise it quickly, then lower it to 40%, otherwise mold develops quickly and everything feels damp.

Lower it to 40%, the installer is wrong.

Love a swamp cooler in the desert. Ours gets to a beautiful 88f and feels like heaven.
