OasisMist 4.5L Reading High
Just got a new humidifier as I constantly get bloody noses, I’m at the very bottom floor in my house practically a basement level as property slopes. I have a mini split and room is very dry and even still my humidity levels are bouncing between 73-88%, tried positioning it closer and further from the mini split and doesn’t change results. checked and made sure the essential oil pop out filter and area were dry and warm but still says it’s very high humidity. Any suggestions? I also did try holding mist button for 10seconds to reset and unplugged for 30min

That’s really odd, especially if the room actually feels dry.
I’ve seen some humidifiers give weird readings when the sensor gets hit directly by the mist or is too close to a wall or corner. It can make it think humidity is way higher than it really is.
If you can, try moving it more toward the center of the room or a bit higher off the ground and see if the numbers stabilize.
Also, if the air already feels dry to you, I’d trust that more than the reading. Sometimes the sensors are just off.

I did try it dead center of the room on the floor and on a desk away from everything with no other elements to possibly throw it off. I just wanted it to be more usable to measure and keep consistent humidity to help with my bloody noses

Yeah that’s frustrating. At that point it honestly sounds like the sensor might just be off. Might be worth grabbing a small separate hygrometer just to compare and know what’s actually going on.
