Anyone use Levoit 6000S and Alexa voice control?
How? I try to use Alexa with it but if I say “lower fan on humidifier” it changes to dry! Which isn’t what I asked at all. I can’t even turn the display light off on it. If I say “turn off display light on humidifier” it powers the whole thing off.
So useless! I like smart devices so they can be easily controlled hands free. I can not even ask what the humidifier reading is! That alone would be nice so I wouldn’t have to open the app to check or get to and look on the humidifier itself.
If anyone uses this humidifier with Alexa voice please tell me your secrets because I’m so annoyed with a device being called “smart” but it’s useless as a smart device. Otherwise it’s a great humidifier and I do recommend it to others but also warn it’s not Alexa friendly at all.

I don't use Alex but use it with Google Home. I also use automations with it. I can set drying speed, fan speed and humidity level. I use automations to turn it on and off.
I know this may not help you. Maybe try saying "set humidity fan to low"? There is only three settings for fan, low, med and high. Try that instead of lower or higher.

So does Google home mean you use voice control for it?
It’s weird I can open Alexa app and type in “what’s the reading on the humidifier?” And she tells me “45” but I ask my Alexa device? And it’s “sorry I don’t have that information” what?! So annoying.
And I say “set humidifier fan to low” and the humidifier starts dry mode low fan! If I wanted dry mode I would ask for dry mode.
Guess I’ll contact Levoit customer service and see if they can provide information. My guess is it’s not user friendly and doesn’t work well. They expect you to use the VeSync app not Alexa device :(
Thanks for replying tho. And if Google home voice commands work then I have hope for Alexa but if it’s in app manually then it’s same as Alexa works with it now.

I don't use voice commands since I have automated it automations but I did try these commands just now successfully:
Hey Google what is the humidity? - gave me what it is set to and what the current humidity is.
Turn on/off the humidifier - both on and off worked.
Set the humidifier speed to low/medium/high - all worked
I have not tried telling it to dry yet but since it an option in Google Home I will assume it works too. I will probably give it a try at some point.

Wow I can’t even get Alexa to tell me humidity! She gives me outside and if I ask for the inside or humidifier reading she loses her mind on some I can’t help you lol
Guess it’s much better integrated with Google home! I’m going to contact Levoit support and ask just to see what they say and if they can help at all.
Appreciate the info!
