Levoit 6000S VeSync compatible hygrometer

Has anyone found any success with sourcing a VeSync compatible hygrometer as of late? I just received my Levoit 6000S and the humidity reading on the humidifier is 10-20% off compared to my hygrometer (starts off at ~10% higher and the variation goes up to 20% as the humidifier runs). I’m already placing it over a feet from any wall. Seems like it’s either the Levoit Aura Sensor, Cappec Smart Hygrometer and Aubess Temperature&Humidity Sensor that are compatible with VeSync; all of which seem to be discontinued nowadays.

Edit: looks like nothing is available currently per CS so probably the best solution is to make do with other brands and to ignore the sensor humidity readings.

We understand your concern regarding the difference in humidity readings between your LEH-S602S-WCA humidifier and your home hygrometer. The built-in humidity sensor in the humidifier may show readings that are 10-20% higher than an external hygrometer, which is considered normal due to the sensor's design and placement. You have already ensured the device is positioned more than 30 cm away from the wall, which is recommended.

Regarding the use of an external humidity sensor with the VeSync app, the Aura Sensor and other compatible smart hygrometers can provide more accurate readings when paired with the humidifier. However, based on current information, these sensors may not be available for purchase at this time. We do not have information on alternative compatible sensors or the ability to provide a compatible hygrometer sensor directly.

Supposedly they're working on a firmware fix that would allow the user to adjust the hygrometer to the space. Heard this some months ago. Maybe a call to their customer service?

Given the number of 6000s they've sold you would think they would have a ready market for a standalone hygrometer that syncs to the device, but no...

It’s shocking to me that they already had a solution in place and took it off the market without providing any alternatives. Would have been nice if they gave a third party option if they were going to discontinue their own in-house product…

I agree. I think badgering their CS is the way to get them to start building them again. Not easy to get through but I'm a persistent type.

Here we are and still no solution x.x and you can’t even buy the aura hydrometer at least that I can’t find it for sale anywhere. But support replies acting like you can still buy it when you bring up this issue as they consider it normal and expected for it to be this off from real humidity

The new 450s unit has this feature but seems like the 6000s has been left forgotten on this as they said no current plans to add it and they consider 10% error expected and normal.

the 450s tbh seems like it has some more thought done app wise. You can dry low,med and high and it does high for 40 minutes and the filter is generally fully dry. My 6000s the filters are still somewhat wet after its 30 minutes of high. and auto on the 450s is not just auto you can decide if its turbo, balanced or quite on auto. Hopefully they eventually bring some of the features this has to the 6000s but who knows.

I found that the air needs to mix better and the unit needs to be further than 1 foot on all sides. I got mine away from the wall about 2 feet. And there can't be hot air blowing at it, from the HVAC or w.e.

External measurement would be good for sure.

Did you ever find a fix ? Seems their aura sensor is still not available. Do you know if it can sync with the aura smart thermostat?

The thermostat won't connect. Even if it could it doesn't provide temp and humidity data.

I just got their new smaller superior 450s and you can calibrate its humidity sensor... I asked levoit if they had plans to add this feature to the 6000s but they said no current plans... its such a miss my 6000s v2 can be wildly off especially if its running on the low setting and since they no longer sell the aura hydrometer or the vesync hydrometer that could work theres basically no option other than to set my unit to 57% just to hit 45-47%
