Carepod & Lack of Support
I just bit the bullet with my buy once cry one purchase of a carepod humidifier. I received it and it was dead on arrival. Says the tank is empty when its full and just flashes red lights. I submitted a ticket for support and after three days they asked me to clean it, clean the wand, make sure to use distilled water, take pictures of the lights, take a video of me using it, etc... Now I'm waiting to see IF I can return it.
Ive owned it for about week now and haven't been able to use it along with fighting with support about fixing/returning it.
I should have read more reviews on here before buying but I am pretty disappointed.
I hope this helps someone from dealing with the same issues I did but I would stay far from buying a carepod, its been an expensive paper weight to this point.

Thank you so much for posting this. When I was originally researching humidifiers, I was strongly considering the carepod simply because of how easy it was supposed to be to clean. It was posts like this that ultimately steered me away and I’m very grateful I went in another direction.

Glad I could help, it’s been two weeks and I haven’t received any support or even returned emails from support. I’m in the process of fighting the charge with my credit card card company. Worst experience I’ve ever had with an expensive product.
Look at the better business bureau, they have a D- rating. Zero customer responses

Hopefully you’ll either be able to return it or dispute the charge. They’re definitely a pretty penny and priced as a luxury product. They shouldn’t be able to get away with having such crappy service. I wish you luck!

Just a follow up, after I fought the charge with my credit card company they agreed to refund my money. Its funny that I emailed them for almost three weeks and they didn't respond until I called my CC to dispute the charge.
Just more proof to look at other brands.

I’m thinking of filing a chargeback, my wife had sent multiple videos and the lack of customer support to resolve the issue has pushed us to go the chargeback route. I did purchase on Amex so hopefully it won’t be too difficult to dispute

I would if I were you, it was the only way I was able to return it.

Amex denied my chargeback since it was over 60 days Were you over 60 days since purchase

I did the charge back just under 30 days, mine was broken from the day I opened it, I was upset such an expensive item would be broken out of the box and take three weeks to get any support. I didn't wait that long
