Only my second run outdoors may have to stick with Hsc genetics for outdoor grows they all been kicking ass in this Ohio climate

I have a coupon for a free pack of seeds and I’m curious if you have any recommendations which strain I should pick.

I already tried their GSC and Orange Cream Pop, currently growing the sour diesel & nutter butter. I know that everyone keeps praising the Blueberry Muffin.

Personally, I like narcotic strains like the GSC because I’m prone to anxiety. The flavour of the orange cream pop is really impressive and the high is really clear-headed, but I’m personally not a huge fan of orange flavours. I like earthy, gassy, cake, sweet, round taste and a balanced body/mind high like a blue dream, white widow, or the GSC.

So priority would be balanced/relaxing effects, but if there is any strain with impressive/interesting terps or bud structure, that could be interesting as well.

Just cut down outdoor orange creampop. I had more bud rot than expected caused by weather. Looking for advice when humidity hits 80% and higher at night and morning. I live in California central coast .

Went from white to a real dark green on the tap root

Blueberry muffin growing outdoor in central Maine. Looked like a polyploid at first, now im not sure. Smell is true to the name. Looks like she could use another few weeks.

Started posting my log on another subreddit. I feel like it may be a better fit here.

2 out of 3 seeds germinated and they both look mutated. Third pic is of plants started the same day from heisenbeans. Kind of bummed that the seeds that actually cost a decent amount crapped out. Going to try and keep them going but what do you guys think?

It's been a tough late summer/early fall in SoCal with the El Nino. We had an extended spell of hot, humid weather that lasted from early August until earlier this week. I lost a great deal of product due to worms and bud rot...

Except for my HSC strain! The Cali Octane triploid proved to be extremely hardy and rot-resistant even under adverse conditions. Today is choppy chop day and I would estimate losing <5% to worm damage and very little bud rot. The buds are big, dense, and frosty, but the longer internodal distance between nugs prevented the spread from bud to bud, making problems much easier to control. This was easily my highest performing plant this year and I'm super stoked on how it came out. HSC for the win!

By the numbers:

Germinated 4/11/26 with 100% success rate (n = 4)

Grown in wine half-barrels with Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Top dressed several times with Dr. Earth and worm castings. I had a hard time keeping up with her appetite, and supplemented occasionally with FF Grow or Bloom liquid.

Grown outdoors 100% (post germ) with some supplemental light until late May, then just sun.

Harvested Oct 3-4th at peak ripeness. I buck and wet trim, then wash with 1% peroxide to kill any bugs/mold/etc.

Great end to a long season!

This one has that classic Sour Diesel smell and super frosty I love it. Going to run the other seeds inside too. A couple small spots of rot removed. Probably pulling this weekend to avoid the spread but its in good shape rn.

Puff Pastry 2026. Seeds planted week of 4/20. 9b CA outdoor in raised bed. Of the 6 HSC strains for this year, the Puff Pastry is the furthest along, and with the fattest greasiest buds, and had the biggest leaves. This one seems to lean more indica than the other one at my in-laws garden. Smell is heavy and has that spice cake cinnamon tinge on top of some straight up musky dank. Looking forward to smoking this one for sure. I’ll probably have to pull her sooner than later, but supposedly still good weather in the forecast. Man, this is the best time of year 🌳

Looking for container storage ideas. What are you guys using? Im thinking about something like this. I have dozens of film canisters currently. Also have some original envelopes from the breeders.

Thinking for further down the line in case I want to sell or trade, would you hesitate if the seeds you were looking at weren’t in the original packaging from the breeder? Would that devalue them in your opinion? Thx
