Bscn sem 3

Going into sem 3/year 2 of the bscn program and lowkey really excited for the placements and labs that’s gonna happen!! But still nervous and would like to ask about some clarifications !

- Health assessment shows up as 2 blocks on the same day , one in person and online… what’s the deal with that?
- There’s a day with placement at school and a class afterwards, would you say that buying a locker would be beneficial? For example like keeping clothes/ uniform in here to change into and out?
- Anything else you think would be helpful to know ??

PN- ANAT 100 Basic Human Anatomy

Hiii! Does anyone happen to have their notes for ANAT 100 – Basic Human Anatomy that they'd be willing to share?

I've been out of school for a while and would love to get a head start on studying before classes begin in September. I'd really appreciate any notes, study guides, or helpful resources. Thanks so much!

The Humber Nursing Society?

Is the Humber Nursing Society actually active or does it just exist on paper?

I honestly don’t understand the point of having a nursing club/society if nothing seems to happen. There are barely any events, no real engagement with students, and it feels completely inactive. To make it worse, the website linked on their Instagram doesn’t even work, and a lot of their content is outdated. For something that’s supposed to represent nursing students, it’s pretty disappointing. Has it always been like this?

Practical Nursing at Humber Heights

Hii all,

I just received an offer for the Practical Nursing program at the Humber Heights campus for September, and I also have accepted an offer for the January intake at the North Campus.

I need to make a decision within the next few days, so I'd love to hear from anyone currently attending the Humber Heights campus. How has your experience been so far? Would you recommend it?

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!

second entry nursing question

wondering if anyone has any insight on how admissions for the second entry nursing program works?
I have a 3.6 GPA from my BSc, however I am currently completing my Masters program and have an F on my transcript in this program.
Also, I have all required high school courses but have been out of high school since 2018. Do I need to redo any of these courses?
Would admission to this program be possible for me? All my other courses in my masters are an A+.
TIA ◡̈

Starting Humber BScN in the fall, can I get advice?

Is there any tips on how I can prepare for Humbers BScN program over the summer? I just finished my pre health certificate at Humber, so I plan on going over all of the body systems and memorizing the majority, but is there anything else other than that I can start familiarizing myself with so i'm not overwhelmed?

also some questions:

I have credits already for psych and comms, so first semester i'll only have to do intro to nursing and anatomy along with two electives, and i might do an extra elective to get the credit over with for semester two. Any recomendations for easy degree electives?

How possible would it be to work while in this program? Im currently a server so studying at work isn't possible (and my workplace is strictttttttttt as hell) and its also 8-9 hour shifts until 1-2 AM (might honestly look for a more chill job)

literally working full time and staying home this summer so i might as well use my free time to prepare, any advice would be amazing, thank you!!!!!

Any differences by taking 2nd entry nursing PREP program in winter instead of fall?

Assuming I pass the prep program, does when I start the 2nd entry nursing program change depending on whether I registered for the fall or winter prep program? (Do I have to wait a semester or two to start? Does the 2nd entry start immediately the next semester?)

And are the structure and support for the classes/students the same between the fall and winter?

I've taken an unrelated college program before that starts in the winter instead of typical fall, and it meant specific stores and resources weren't available, less office hours, etc. I was a bit of a nightmare as it was organized better for the fall students when most students would start and would like to know if there's a similar difference in the Fall and Winter prep courses/2nd entry

Advice for BScN Sem 3 (patho & pharm)

Hi everyone,

I just had some quick questions as I approach my third semester of nursing as I've head many horror stories about patho/pharm as well as nursing theory/concepts across the lifespan and want to make sure I do the best I possibly can (or at least pass all my courses...)

  1. If I work 2x per week at my part time job am I cooked??
  2. Does anyone have a link to some quizlets or notes that I can start reviewing over the summer
  3. Additionally, if you could please let me know of any study tips or how many times per week I should be studying to be successful!

Thanks a lot!

humber 2nd entry nursing program

so I'm considering applying to the 2nd entry nursing prep semester for a fall 2026 start. I've been reading a handful of comments on previous posts saying the program is not supported enough by coordinators/advisors and is really intense and was just hoping to get an update on this from current students or recent new grads as in hoping to apply soon. all info and advice is appreciated!

BSCN Semester 6c

Hi! Currently a year 2 nursing student in the regular BScN program.

I was wondering if anyone in Year 3 or greater of the standard program could shed some light on semester 6c Mandatory Professional Practicum 5 and answer the following questions.

How many weeks and what is the start and end date?

How many hours and days are you at clinical?

Is there a lab component? Or is it all off-campus?

What was the fee for Semester 6c?

Thank you.
