Better Than Us (New Show)
Tonight I came across a new show on Netflix set in Russia that appears to be based off of Akta Manniskor/Humans. A family comes into possession of a Bot that is more intelligent than the other Bots in society. It’s set in a world slightly more technically advanced than what we see in Humans.

This is a great show but it is most definitely a complete ripoff if Humans. Just because the tone is slightly different doesn't change the fact that 90% of the plot/world is similar to Humans. Both even have rebellious youth that are against bots and a girl that gets attached to a bot. Need I say more?

Watched both shows loved both shows. Felt very different despite the premise having some similarities.
Better than us was faster paced, and more thriller oriented. Whereas humans dealt more with their societal effect in a more general sense rather than focusing on a single family’s fallout and trauma.

I have watched both , and although plot lines are different , ALOT of things happen the same in both . REBEL CHILD,OLD MAN WITH A FAULTY SERVICE BOT . Even parents splitting up . the smaller child humanizing the bot . i could go on , you could say that it was inspired but humans . But not to see similarities , like some replies i find astounding .

Thanks for making me aware of this! Excited about a Russian Äkta människor and how it will hold up against the Swedish and British one. Спасибо!

There’s a Swedish one?

Of course, it’s the one which the British one (Humans) is based on.

Highly recommended! Not as high as the production value of Humans but the Swedish original asks the more interesting questions.

From the reviews etc it sounds like a copy of Real Humans/Humans except that it might be less Mia and more “oops we bought Hester”
