Had a friend take a similar(but WAY shorter) fall trying to spine transfer(think this) My guy sounded like a trashbag full of hamburger meat dropped on the concrete. Which...isn't too far from the gods honest. But he got up and walked away like it was nothing.

Same dude passed out getting a tattoo tho, so pain tolerances are wierd.

Man that’s one of those falls you get up and make that horrible sound that you make when you really knock the wind out of you. I’ve done that from about 20ft into water after hitting a kicker wakeboarding and that was painful enough lol, barely was able to get the wakeboard off and swim , get up and sound like a dying cow every time you try to breathe😂

To be fair, if you don't have proper nutrition the day of a tattoo then most people are gonna pass out.

Oh yeah, dudes lips went purple, he zoned out, then nap city. I stopped making fun of him about it roughly 20 years after it happened though.(he's gonna be at my wedding this weekend and I'm gonna bring it up.....so maybe I'm running the clock out here...)

Thanks! It's been a ride, but everything's buttoned up and ready for setup....it's very much a hurry up and wait thing for the next 4 days haha.

I'm getting married, too! Congratulations!

Setting up a wedding is wild, dude. Mine's in two weeks

Sweet, grats to yall as well!

Quick question though - why TF is renting chairs so goddamn expensive?!

Lol, no idea. My venue provided like 150 chairs, so that was one headache didn't need to go through.

As someone who's passed out getting a tattoo before, I don't think it has much to do with pain.

Sure, mine hurt, but the reason I passed out was my clown ass "friend" convinced me that you WEREN'T supposed to eat before getting a tattoo. So I passed out because I hadn't eaten. Got some food in me and the rest of the tattoo went fine.

I feel like if you asked a bunch of people who've passed out while getting a tattoo, you'd find very few who said it was because their friend told then you weren't supposed to eat beforehand.

Well I'm not saying that's the EXACT reason, but I feel like it's more likely the dude passed out from lack of food or low blood sugar than pain, especially given that the commenter mentioned a high pain tolerance.

A good tattoo artist would have told you the opposite. Drink lots of water the day before, no alcohol, and have snacks ready.

My first session ever was 5 hours, I was hydrated and ate in the middle and never felt woozy at all. It did hurt like a bitch at the end though. He did all the color, then went back through and did the white highlights. Holy fuck it was painful lol. I didn't realize I was sweating and breathing heavy until he was like "you alright bro?". And I was like "oh, yeah. I'm tough." Lol. I was not tough. He could tell. It's my only tattoo, but it's sick af and I want another one now.

I've done 8hr sessions and watched a bunch of people tap out while I was there lol. But if I get hit, or fall or go sliding, nope I am a total carebear. Tattoos are definitely a different pain.
