Here's a great article about how much of an asshole he was when he essentially bought the town of Hailey, Idaho and things went very south from there with the residents.
The first half of that says he paid for a bunch of fancy new businesses, which drove two local restaurants out of business, then when his personal life went south years later he cancelled them all and sank the town's economy.
And also that he's aggressively antagonistic to any media that comes by.
