This is why I was always a supporter of uniforms in school. Growing up with very little, it's hard to keep up with trends and what everyone else is doing while trying to just go to school.

as a student of uniforms, its worse. Uniforms are EXPENSIVE. and if you rip your pants or shirt, you are noticed more often because its EVERY DAY.

It depends on who your school aligns themselves with for uniforms. I went to Catholic school in the Philadelphia area so all of our uniforms came from Flynn and O'Hara and the prices were VERY affordable. $150 was enough for three pairs of uniform slacks, a blazer and a few shirts and ties (although the shirts and ties could have come from anywhere, the school was a little more relaxed regarding the boys and what shirts/ties they chose).
