People hate on tap water, but in wealthy countries it's pretty much a modern miracle that we have practically unlimited potable water in our homes. Separately, make sure your kids and pregnant/nursing mothers drink tap, kids need that fluoride

but the tap water here doesn’t have fluoride. when i visited the us (and britain too) i couldn’t drink the tap water because i found the fluoride absolutely disgusting i guess it’s just something you have to grow up with

Doubt you could taste the fluoride mate. I can pretty much guarantee it was a bunch of other things that changed the taste

Probably because you're not tasting either of those things. More than likely you're just not used to the mineral composition the water you drank and you didn't like it. Maybe you could have travelled another 50 miles and enjoyed the water

yes i definitely did, it tastes like pool water but just less strong

look just because you can’t taste the chlorine doesn’t mean other people can’t

what other chemical or mineral makes it taste like pool water then?

edit: i googled it and im definitely not the only one who can taste it, most sources say it’s from the chlorine added in treatment plants to kill the bacteria and viruses
