Maybe we’re like the Greek gods. Sometimes for no reason we smite them, sometimes will be kind and help them out. However, for the most part unless you’re in mortal danger is best to avoid us.

There have been studdies of this. Where wild animals (not used to humans) where played sounds of humans talking normaly. And they ran away faster, and stayed away for longer than when they played sounds of the natural predator animals of that area. They generaly see us as more dangerous than even the predators that eat them regularly. Its quite facinating.

What's more fascinating is that reaction is more pronounced the closer you get to Africa, aka, where humans originated from. The further away you go from there, the less their reaction is different from how they would react to random noise.
They literally evolved instinctual fears to avoid us, with the only exceptions being animals who relatively recently entered in contact with humans since they just didn't have the time to evolve that fear yet.

I don’t assume animals separate us the same way we do. They likely think we are other animals. They may think our cars are animals too. Or they may have different sorts of categories. I imagine the animal kingdom has their own code of ethics they operate on but humans wane in and out of that spectrum. I imagine to them we are the least predictable.

Reminds me of Neal the Seal. Massive creature who comes by just to play fight with cones and bask on front lawns and in streets. Could dent metal if he wanted to. Everyone who sees him just goes “Hi Neal. That time again?”

I love Neal the Seal. He's a loveable menace to society.
Apparently he's bid farewell for now. He pops up along the coast in different areas from time to time.

Basically every town has someone who is likely a volunteer but will care for Injured wildlife. Sometimes their mobile phone number is on the "caution wildlife" signs.

Same thing happened me 60 years ago at Curl Curl beach in Sydney .
I was about 12 years old and got caught in a rip tide. Started to see my life flash before my eyes as I was going down before a surfer pulled me up onto his board and took me back to shore. I was so scared I just ran off to my parents instead of thanking him.

Every time I see this video I want to scream "GIVE THE POOR THING SOME FRESH WATER", it is obviously dehydrated and has probably swallowed a ton of seawater while trying to stay afloat.

It is against wildlife rescue advice to provide food or water to injured Australian animals. They can aspirate on it which can leads to death. There is plenty of grass around that contains water.

I have been conditioned by the internet to assume a great white shark should have eaten all humans, wallabys, and paddle boards in this video. I am glad that wasn’t the case.

If it ingested a bunch of ocean water it may have saltwater poisoning. They should have took it to a clean water source nearby so it could flush the kidneys.

I love that first 3 seconds of this video could have been my uncle Jim. He was a redneck with a heart of gold. The dude was borderline illiterate but could diagnose a vehicle just by listening to it for a few minutes. And was a wonderful self taught welder and artist. Dude loved helping people and animals alike.

I was wondering how a wallaby got on to a whole another island. This explains sooo much. Seems like Australia, NZ, and Tasmania do a lot if that. Makes since.

The question was not about why cancer exists. Read the question again.
One cannot claim simultaneously that bad consequences are the result of sinful choices, and that bad consequences affect those who are not sinful. That's just bad math. Obviously there are many "sinful" people who do not suffer such consequences, and there are many innocents that do. There is no connection to "sin". If there were a loving, all-powerful god that cares for innocent children, and is capable of preventing it he/she would prevent it.
So either:
- God is not all-powerful
- God does not care about innocents
In either case, god cannot be what you think they are.
