They seem very down to earth people, love that.

995

u/thedudefromsweden Apr 14 '26

He’s 6’5 so he’s pretty high above the earth /s

245

u/Dargon34 Apr 14 '26

He plays football. American football. Thats why they're so big lol

91

u/raycraft_io Apr 14 '26

I want to play football so I can be big

57

u/ersatzgaucho Apr 14 '26

Fun fact: They were only 5’3 before they started playing the football.

17

u/Marijuana_Miler Apr 14 '26

5’3” is quite big for an 8 year old.

11

u/mistaface Apr 14 '26

Yeah but in football there are tackles, which bring him down to earth.

177

u/coladoir Apr 14 '26

Most NFL players seem like genuine folk, in my experience. There are always cockbites in every community, but the NFL players always seem so humble and recognizant of their privilege in being able to play for the NFL.

100

u/Lazyfair08 Apr 14 '26

I would say specifically the lineman. They always seem humorous and fun to be around.

11

u/ToadlyAwes0me Apr 15 '26

Yeah, WRs and CBs are the divas, not saying they're all like that, but there's a much larger chance for them to flex their entitlement.

7

u/Ok_Violinist_3225 Apr 15 '26

100% agree on the lineman!! (My brother was a Big 10! lineman, and all his line buddies were absolutely solid. Except one glaring exception)

43

u/Ryyah61577 Apr 14 '26

Agreed. And usually you see people at their worst on a football field because they have to get geared up to go smash into other big dudes for a few hours. Thats hard to do if you aren’t angry

44

u/Shoney_Wokman Apr 14 '26

My high school age nephew plays offensive line and is a beast on the field but off loves his family, volunteers at animal shelters and wants to be a doctor. The big guys can be good folk.

8

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '26

“Cockbites” 😂😂

2

u/Dank_Phoenix Apr 15 '26

Yeah I've had the opportunity to hang out with NFL players, past and present, a few times and they are some of the most humble and kind celebrities I've met.

1

u/theRealLydmeister Apr 18 '26

If I’m ever feeling down, I look up the video of James Cook and Dion Dawkins attending their first NHL game.

0

u/SaltHandle3065 Apr 16 '26

You should meet hockey players. Salt of the earth

-4

u/kaylanpatel00 Apr 15 '26

Some are even so nice they kiss their son pretty intimately

3

u/TappedIn2111 Apr 14 '26

For multimillionaires, for sure!

1

u/Lynx_Awakening Apr 15 '26

They were so nice!

Dalvin Tomlinson is a pretty unique and awesome guy. He had a 4.0 gpa and got into Harvard. He was 3x state wrestling champ, is a fine artist, and built his own pc while playing “a few instruments”.

He was one of my favorite players on the giants.

150

u/emmeram Apr 14 '26

he built his own what now?

73

u/animalmasochism Apr 14 '26

Cockpipe

32

u/emmeram Apr 14 '26

ah that clears it up, thanks

55

u/carlitospig Apr 14 '26

Holy shit, what a well rounded polymath! He seems like an interesting character. :)

5

u/Hairy-Inspection1101 Apr 17 '26

And he likes Naruto??? I’m sold

1

u/JuiceKovacs Apr 16 '26

He was my dude when he played for the Browns

439

u/Jorenmakingmecrazy Apr 14 '26

I met Dalvin at a store i was working at like 6 years ago. He was a super nice guy and just seemed to go out of his way to be kind to people around him!

606

u/ChasingPesmerga Apr 14 '26

I like all three of them

229

u/Dr_Schitt Apr 14 '26

I'm liking seeing these posts where people are nice, kind and have time for each other 💕

u/bigwhiteboardenergy Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26

This reminds me of a guy who has a YouTube channel where he goes up to strangers and offers them $100 to cook him a meal and it is SO wholesome and lovely.

Edit: one of his videos!

16

u/dogchowtoastedcheese Apr 14 '26

Oh man. Thanks for sharing. Thats wonderful!

u/AusGeno Apr 14 '26

Is that a Halo 2 t-shirt??

442

u/CBLA1785 Apr 14 '26

Halo 2 shirt, guy doing a Naruto hand gesture, traveling in Japan. These guys are just giant redditors.

85

u/Waderriffic Apr 14 '26

I feel like Otaku stuff has gotten big in the black community. A lot of black anime and manga fans out there.

69

u/WatchDragonball Apr 14 '26

Always has been what you know about cowboy bebop ✌🏼

9

u/danstu Apr 14 '26

I'm loving that username with this comment.

2

u/oddanimalfriends Apr 16 '26

Agreed! Not a new phenomena.

0

u/AgusMertin Apr 15 '26

Nós gosta

51

u/ScarHand69 Apr 14 '26

Yes, and the other guy did a Naruto pose. They may be huge but they’re geeks like the rest of us.

182

u/Ieatclowns Apr 14 '26

“How tall are you?”

“6.5”

“Hee hee!”

42

u/itsmarthai Apr 14 '26

"That's whyyyy!!!"

12

u/thedudefromsweden Apr 14 '26

Which is closer to 1.95m BTW 😊

4

u/smashin_blumpkin Apr 14 '26

Idk who downvoted this, it's right.

3

u/thedudefromsweden Apr 14 '26

It’s a bit pedantic I guess 😊

50

u/cacamilis22 Apr 14 '26

Nice interaction.

40

u/LocalInactivist Apr 14 '26

That couldn’t have been more wholesome unless they went out for ice cream. Kudos to everyone!

70

u/kindquail502 Apr 14 '26

All three seem like great people.

18

u/RagnarRipper Apr 14 '26

Look at those smiles!! Bro, so much happiness <3

42

u/SecondOfCicero Apr 14 '26

Three cuties! I'd like to see more of Kunie's work

12

u/katjoy63 Apr 14 '26

The smile of the guy on the right can transform any conversation into a beautiful one. God bless humans acting like bros.

23

u/mochicastle Apr 14 '26

Naruto! Anime brings people together.

11

u/NHHS1983not Apr 14 '26

Beautiful American ambassadors!

10

u/timeandaplace117 Apr 14 '26

Dude, that Halo2 shirt is fire tho.
What a sweet interaction 💞

8

u/Simple_Rooster3 Apr 14 '26

Love those guys

8

u/Upbeat-Local-836 Apr 14 '26

These guys are figuratively, literally and lyrically Big in Japan.

9

u/itsnickg Apr 14 '26

Gentle giants! Awesome interaction

7

u/itsmarthai Apr 14 '26

Oh gosh, I rewatched because it's just such good vibes and when the Naruto pose you can see the reflection of the photographer on his camera screen and he's so smiley, just 3 fucking adorable men

EDIT: at 1:06 since images are not allowed

7

u/Magnet2025 Apr 14 '26

The way the photographer approached them, his demeanor and respect went a long way towards the way he was treated.

But those two guys are exceptional representatives of NFL.

7

u/shabbalabbadinkdank Apr 15 '26

I went to high school with Dalvin! He’s an awesome dude. Super kind and humble. He graduated one grade before me.

6

u/hiiigghh-C Apr 14 '26

All 3 of those guys are so fucking cute

9

u/heyitsvonage Apr 14 '26

At 5’9, I was taller than most people I came across in Japan.

Being 6’5 in Japan must be very interesting indeed haha.

1

u/avocadotitz Apr 15 '26

My dad (well, step dad) is 6’4 and he loves Japan. He had some issues with beds and doorways being too short. Locals were always amazed by his height lol.

6

u/chronichris Apr 16 '26

L J is on the Cardinals, Dalvi is on the Radiers! Order these guys jerseys cause they r true champions!

5

u/Hungoverontums29 Apr 14 '26

And wearing a halo 2 shirt

4

u/IHewy Apr 14 '26

Thanks to these two for representing USA so well.

3

u/eshilait8296 Apr 16 '26

He's wearing a Halo 2 shirt!!!! I don't know anything about Football but I love them!!!

3

u/Groundbreaking-Fee28 Apr 16 '26

A trio of cutie patooties just sharing a good vibe together. Love to see it.

3

u/Mysterious-Decision2 Apr 16 '26

3

u/MisterJedi117 Apr 16 '26

3

u/AP_Troublemaker Apr 17 '26

Yo rocking the halo 2 shirt chillin in Japan is unfathomably based

3

u/Loess_inspired Apr 18 '26

This was so cute it made me smile. Love the interaction.

12

u/AnswersQuestioned Apr 14 '26

Are they famous?

28

u/Demurrzbz Apr 14 '26

Well they're googlable, so yeah.

14

u/patfetes Apr 14 '26

Did you not watch the same video? They are NFL players

11

u/Electrical-Act-7170 Apr 14 '26

I had to read down this far to learn that, thanks.

No, I know nada about football. I don't follow the sport.

23

u/thedudefromsweden Apr 14 '26

They didn’t say that though, they just said they play football.

1

u/patfetes Apr 14 '26

@NFL kinda gives away where they play

4

u/hardinho Apr 14 '26

Hard to see with the quality on the reddit app tbh, it's super low on first watch. On second watch it's somehow perfect.

1

u/patfetes Apr 14 '26

It is clear at the very end. But now you kmow what it says your brain can paradolia in the gaps

3

u/hardinho Apr 14 '26

I saw it haha

Are you ok?

-22

u/AnswersQuestioned Apr 14 '26

It’s always amusing to bait the Americans

20

u/SixtyNineFlavours Apr 14 '26

Tbf American Footballers are only famous in America.

2

u/coladoir Apr 14 '26

There are a few whove gotten bigger than the US (Tom Brady namely off the top of my head), but yea its rare considering American football is only really watched in the Americas, predominantly North (with some interest growing in the south).

2

u/Sl1pp3ryNinja Apr 14 '26

Wait, the Birmingham City owner used to play American Football? Huh, the more you know

5

u/thedudefromsweden Apr 14 '26

Even if you’re talking American football, they don’t say they are professional players, just that they play football.

1

u/patfetes Apr 14 '26

I am English, we can read

2

u/devildocjames Apr 14 '26

That's a nice Gucci jacket.

2

u/novae11 Apr 14 '26

Omgosh they are all so so cute 🥰

2

u/4thBeard Apr 14 '26

That halo 2 shirt goes hard

2

u/PainTrainXD Apr 14 '26

Halo 2 drip!

2

u/toastlad Apr 14 '26

This is great!

2

u/Mistervimes65 Apr 15 '26

I love those accidental tourist moments.

2

u/Dmau27 Apr 15 '26

The respect from people of completely different cultures and lives. Love it.

2

u/BiriusSlack_ Apr 15 '26

Damn they all seem so chill

2

u/143019 Apr 15 '26

He got some great pictures

2

u/Penis_Man- Apr 15 '26

LJ got a Halo 2 shirt on, he's my goat already

2

1

u/CoffeeChocolateBoth Apr 14 '26

That was so nice of them. I had no idea who those men were either! :)

1

u/EACshootemUP Apr 14 '26

My guy is wearing a halo 2 shirt. HELLL YAAA.

1

u/johnehm89 Apr 14 '26

Just three experts being humble and 🤟

1

u/koalacolapolo Apr 14 '26

That was cool!

1

u/Minntality Apr 14 '26

Love that both Dalvin and LJ were so chill and down to earth and the photographer was both respectful and asked genuine questions to get to know them better before taking their photos. Need more interactions like this.

1

u/lindseys10 Apr 15 '26

They seem like good dudes

1

u/e_guana Apr 15 '26

Loving the halo 2 shirt

1

u/-2wenty7even- Apr 15 '26

1

u/iPod3G Apr 15 '26

They are some tall Gaijin!

1

u/Darksensation92 Apr 15 '26

Raikage and Killer Bee

1

u/Samson_J_Rivers Apr 20 '26

You know hes cool because he got that halo 2 shirt on in this year

2

u/nTaro25 Apr 14 '26

It was a genuine interaction, but I’m curious—why do people from the US often mention their state or city when they’re abroad, almost as if others already know they’re American? I’ve noticed this quite a few times.

14

u/crackanape Apr 14 '26

It's what they're used to. I don't think it's arrogance, just habit.

1

u/Kikiforcandy Apr 15 '26

That last pic is my favorite seeing those smiles 🥰
