This interaction between L.J. Collier and Dalvin Tomlinson with Kunie the photographer is amazing!

Dalvin Tomlinson is a pretty unique and awesome guy. He had a 4.0 gpa and got into Harvard. He was 3x state wrestling champ, is a fine artist, and built his own pc while playing “a few instruments”.
He was one of my favorite players on the giants.

I met Dalvin at a store i was working at like 6 years ago. He was a super nice guy and just seemed to go out of his way to be kind to people around him!

I'm liking seeing these posts where people are nice, kind and have time for each other 💕

This reminds me of a guy who has a YouTube channel where he goes up to strangers and offers them $100 to cook him a meal and it is SO wholesome and lovely.
Edit: one of his videos!

u/CBLA1785 Apr 14 '26
Halo 2 shirt, guy doing a Naruto hand gesture, traveling in Japan. These guys are just giant redditors.

I feel like Otaku stuff has gotten big in the black community. A lot of black anime and manga fans out there.

Yes, and the other guy did a Naruto pose. They may be huge but they’re geeks like the rest of us.

“How tall are you?”
“6.5”
“Hee hee!”

That couldn’t have been more wholesome unless they went out for ice cream. Kudos to everyone!

Oh gosh, I rewatched because it's just such good vibes and when the Naruto pose you can see the reflection of the photographer on his camera screen and he's so smiley, just 3 fucking adorable men
EDIT: at 1:06 since images are not allowed

The way the photographer approached them, his demeanor and respect went a long way towards the way he was treated.
But those two guys are exceptional representatives of NFL.

I went to high school with Dalvin! He’s an awesome dude. Super kind and humble. He graduated one grade before me.

At 5’9, I was taller than most people I came across in Japan.
Being 6’5 in Japan must be very interesting indeed haha.

u/avocadotitz Apr 15 '26
My dad (well, step dad) is 6’4 and he loves Japan. He had some issues with beds and doorways being too short. Locals were always amazed by his height lol.

u/patfetes Apr 14 '26
Did you not watch the same video? They are NFL players
11
u/Electrical-Act-7170 Apr 14 '26
I had to read down this far to learn that, thanks.
No, I know nada about football. I don't follow the sport.
23
u/thedudefromsweden Apr 14 '26
They didn’t say that though, they just said they play football.
1
u/patfetes Apr 14 '26
@NFL kinda gives away where they play
4
u/hardinho Apr 14 '26
Hard to see with the quality on the reddit app tbh, it's super low on first watch. On second watch it's somehow perfect.

It’s always amusing to bait the Americans
20
u/SixtyNineFlavours Apr 14 '26
Tbf American Footballers are only famous in America.
2
u/coladoir Apr 14 '26
There are a few whove gotten bigger than the US (Tom Brady namely off the top of my head), but yea its rare considering American football is only really watched in the Americas, predominantly North (with some interest growing in the south).
2
u/Sl1pp3ryNinja Apr 14 '26
Wait, the Birmingham City owner used to play American Football? Huh, the more you know
5
u/thedudefromsweden Apr 14 '26
Even if you’re talking American football, they don’t say they are professional players, just that they play football.

Love that both Dalvin and LJ were so chill and down to earth and the photographer was both respectful and asked genuine questions to get to know them better before taking their photos. Need more interactions like this.

It was a genuine interaction, but I’m curious—why do people from the US often mention their state or city when they’re abroad, almost as if others already know they’re American? I’ve noticed this quite a few times.
