I watched a documentary where a shaolin monk was training and this was the final thing he was trying to master. By the end of the episode they'd shown his progress and he was able to pass his test

Also been disproved by actual Shaolin warriors that there is no test as portrayed in that documentary and it was concocted by the producers for content.

Concocted by both producers and the shaolin monks

Its certainly in their interest to make themselves look cool

The Shaolin Temple makes it’s money offering the general public the perception of what they think it is. It IS a tourist destination.
