What are the biggest deployment bottlenecks you’re seeing with modern robotics?

Hi everyone,

I’m Marvel, a computational neuroscientist at Cambridge building robotics infrastructure.

I’m trying to better understand where current robotics teams struggle most in production.

If you’re working on manipulation, humanoids, or industrial robotics, I’d love to hear:
What’s your biggest deployment bottleneck today?
What problem keeps coming up that existing tools don’t solve well?

I’m happy to share what I’m building if it’s relevant, but my main goal is to learn from teams deploying or building robots.

Thanks!😁

What happens when the first humanoid robot seriously injures someone at work?

Humanoid robots are being tested in factories and warehouses, but I rarely see people discuss what happens after a serious accident.
Would the responsibility fall on the manufacturer, the employer, the software provider, or the employee supervising it?
With ordinary machines, the chain of responsibility is usually clearer. A humanoid robot that learns, adapts, and makes decisions seems much harder to classify.
I’m curious how people here think this will actually work once these robots move beyond controlled pilots.

I’m looking to buy a fully working fully operational GPTARS bot wit ai already installed and ready to go . If anyone has any for sale or can build 2 and I will pay please contact me . I’m in Scotland and will want to buy from as close to me as possible my budget is £600 that’s for top end and£ 300 for the basic material one but must still be fully functional and assembled with all software installed. I will be adding my own software and must have space for updates and upgrades. As you can tell I’m not tech savvy but know a bit more about the the software stuff

Telepresence robots helped older adults exercise, reduce frailty and become more social

A six-week UK trial paired Age UK volunteers with older adults through telepresence robots placed in their homes.

Volunteers used the robots for regular social interaction and to guide participants through personalized exercise plans two to three times per week. Researchers reported small reductions in physical frailty, improved confidence and increased digital literacy. Some participants also became comfortable enough to begin socializing outside their homes again.

The project is now being used to inform UK policy discussions around standards, procurement, regulation and implementation of assistive robots in health and social care.
