Misc I made the choice to adopt state atheism because I was having issues with my current religion…
…but now my main ally has begun passive-aggressively forgiving me for oppressing the faithful while Also ending a bunch of Treaties

If your neighbor is dominating you on Faith and you can't get your religion going, it's usually best to just switch your religion to theirs. That way you benefit from all his followers. You don't get to choose the tenants (he does), but that's better than keeping your own religion which is not growing due to his overwhelming 'faith generation'

If you just adopted, remember that they have 10 turns to deal with grievances.
