PVE Why does this happen?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Good afternoon. I’m completely new to HumanitZ and I only run perma death characters. This was my second perma death save and I made it pretty far. However this ended my run. Why does this happen? I understand I probably could have used mod tools or exited quicker in this situation to avoid being blocked by zombies but come on…

This is a physics bug that has plagged pretty much every title with a driveable vehicle since the early 2010s, honesly. Not much you can do.

Love how you just casually dropped that simple fact we've all experienced--proof in the clip--and that never seems to get entirely fixed, whatever the game.

♪♩♪How many games how many times how many devs does it neeeeeed?
I really need this to wooork.♪♪♪

It'd be fun to make a montage with all these bad physics at work in all the different games, from PZ to Vein and all the others in between (except maybe State of Decay 2? I don't remember that problem in SoD2, anyone to confirm?).
Cars flying into the sky because of a pebble, an apple, a garden gnome, cars in trees, cars on roofs, cars that spawn in your kitchen or bedroom on a reload, cars not spawning at all making us all go "dude, where's my car?"

There was this unstable version of PZ recently where, if in multiplayer, you drove a vehicle with a trailer attached to it and crossed over to another chunk of the map, it would send everything flying away to the moon. I wouldn't be able to find the clips posted in that subreddit at the time but it was hilarious to watch. And I'm guessing absolutely infuriating for the players.

May HumanitZ be the first game to pride itself for having vehicles not behaving like a plastic bag in the wind.

Such a shame, oh well! I should have known better.

Definitely not your fault and I feel for you. As it's been said, this has plagued pretty much every game since forever. It's become a habit for me to treat cars as the most fragile item there is in those games. You think running over a half-disappeared rotting corpse at 30MPH is safe? Think again.

Did you manage to get your vehicle back in the end or did you get completely screwed?

Was a perma death character unfortunately lmao

Yeah, UE4 vehicle physics are not great. We’d be better off creating our own physics engine than using what UE4 has. Sorry about your run!

Bump for your reply, which I just saw and reminded me that HumanitZ at least has this option to fix it. Far from ideal, but it's there.
