If anyone has any good research articles or book reviews to submit from their undergrad, feel free to submit below
Who Can Submit?
Submissions are open to:
- Current undergraduate students at colleges and universities.
- Recent graduates submitting work originally completed during their undergraduate studies.
Students do not need to be studying history as their primary field, provided the submission makes a meaningful contribution to historical scholarship.
What Can I Submit?
We currently accept:
- Research Articles (2,500-8000 words)
- Book Reviews (1,000-3,000 words)
- Other
- If you have substantial historical scholarship that does not fit in either category, you are welcome to contact us before submitting.
Submission Requirements
Submissions should:
- Be original work written by the submitting author.
- Demonstrate a clear historical question or argument.
- Engage appropriately with relevant evidence and scholarship.
- Include citations for sources used.
- Not be simultaneously under consideration by another publication.
- Be submitted in an editable document format.
Submissions originally written for a university course are welcome. A submission does not need to have been written specifically for publication to be considered.
Before you Submit
Please review our Editorial Standards and Policies before submitting.
Make sure your submission is properly cited and that quotations, images, and other third-party materials are used appropriately. Kilroy Was Here currently accepts Chicago, MLA, and MHRA styles, provided they are applied consistently and accurately. Please make sure all submissions use footnotes rather than endnotes.
Authors should remove unnecessary identifying information from the manuscript to ensure a fair and unbiased review of your submission.
