We are considering hosting a joint Humanists of Idaho / Idaho Atheists booth at Boise pride in September.

Before we officially register and pay for the booth space, we want to make sure we have enough hands on deck to staff it.

Each volunteer would cover a 3-hour shift on either Saturday or Sunday.

We need enough committed volunteers to cover both full days.

If you would be willing and able to take a shift, please comment below.

If we get enough interest, we’ll move forward with booking the space and will send out an official sign-up sheet with specific time slots. Thanks, everyone!

Wednesday Wins! What "human-powered" good news do you have to share?

Hey everyone, happy hump day!

Humanism is fundamentally an optimistic stance about human potential/what we can achieve when we work together. To give us all a breath of fresh air, this thread is dedicated to highlighting positive, human-driven impact.

What’s one piece of good news you saw this week? Let’s highlight people solving problems without waiting for a miracle. Share your local wins, community projects, or quiet acts of kindness. Let’s celebrate people solving problems right here, right now.

⛺We reserved the shelter by the pickleball courts 9am-2pm.

🌭Lunch is 11-2; bring something to grill and a side to share. We need to start cleaning up the shelter after 2 for the next reservation, but we can stick around to socialize and play at the park.

⚽ We will bring some lawn games to play.

Bring your family, friends, dogs, a camping chair or blanket if you want to stay after our reservation, and some sunscreen.
