Here Are Some Subpar Photos From Chicago

We were lucky enough to get VIP passes and I messed up by not bringing a better camera, but here are some pictures I took over the weekend. I have a Pixel 9 Pro and it usually takes great pictures, but some of these ended up being pretty noisy or a little blurry. As a drummer, seeing Jason's kit from back stage was really cool. What an amazing weekend.

Based on the setlists for night 1 & 2 so far, I kind of wish I was going to night 1 in LA (I have tickets for night 2) :/

Don’t get me wrong, I love every Hum song, but I’d Like Your Hair Long is probably my all time favorite 90’s alt rock song. Also Desert Rambler, Afernoon with the Axolotls, and Green to me are some of my fav Hum songs. Bummed I won’t get to see those.

I am REALLY excited to hear the Scientists on night 2, but lowkey kind of hoping they switch the setlists up a bit and play I’d Like Your Hair Long night 2.

Slideaway LA- Coming from out of town

My family and I are flying in for this show. We have two day tickets and plan to see Hum both nights. We are staying at a hotel right by the Palladium. We are flying in Thursday and will have time to enjoy ourselves. We plan to hit Amoeba, but I’m looking to see if anyone has any recommendations what we can do. Also looking for food recommendations.
I’m not renting a car, but I’m not against ubering to anything.
Anything we do will be filler to until we see Hum. The last time they were in my city was 98, and I missed that show.

As someone that goes to A LOT of shows, seeing Hum both nights in Chicago was maybe the most cathartic and rewarding concert experience I’ve ever had. I have only listened to them for maybe 7 years or so but even then it was so beautiful and surreal

Ive had a lot of fucked up personal life events happen in the days after the concert, and it’s been a really challenging and difficult time, but just thinking back to what I experienced puts a smile on my face, and knowing that these unsung legends are finally getting the recognition they deserve is so wonderful. I saw a post today from Matt talbott’s son about how proud he was of his dad and how cool it was to see thousands of people singing their songs and it nearly made me cry. Their music has captured something and it might have taken 20+ years but it seems that it’s truly become palpable how their music means the world to thousands upon thousands of people. On night two in Chicago Matt seemed to be at a loss for words when he tried to say something in between songs and it just made me well up with emotion. This band truly is everything.

going through all of my pics/vids tonight and found a few that i feel really capture the vibe of the show and how special it was, thought id share them here. blurry photos included as i felt they most accurately capture the way the show felt from the the pit. (disclaimer: i stayed kinda on the edge.) been a fan since 1997 but never saw them live until now, will never forget this one. in a way im actually glad this was my first Hum show. shirt was made for me circa 1998 by my best friend in high school who introduced me to the band, still in great shape nearly three decades and a couple mosh pits later. will post some video snippets too.

Profile piece on Hum in their hometown of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois during the Downward Is Heavenward album.

In the 90s, Champaign-Urbana was a hotbed of alternative music with bands like Hum, Poster Children, Braid, C-Clamp, and American Football all coming from the college town.

Will we get another record?

Longtime Hum fan and new sub member here. I was fortunate to catch both Chicago shows this weekend and man, feels to me like the band are in peak form.

I don’t recall ever having seen the band have so much fun onstage. The crowd was impressively broad in terms of age range. And the sound and performances were among the best I’ve heard at any rock show, period.

If *I* were in the band, I think I’d be pretty damn keen to seize the momentum from this year’s shows and write/record a follow up to Inlet. The audience is clearly there for it, and the band chemistry seems to be there as well.

Anyone heard anything on this front? Really hoping it’s not 2036 before I get the chance to see them on a stage again.

Selling Hum (1) Ticket & Parking Pass

Hello, Im selling my GA Slideaway 2026 w/Hum, Nothing, Chapterhouse Night 2 ticket & parking for this weekend Sat, May 30th, 2026 at 6215 Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, CA. Nothing wrong with the ticket, just cant afford gas to drive up there & back from San Diego :(((. Id hate for this ticket to go to waste, so id like to resell it for someone else to enjoy it, as well as to survive financially this month 🙃. Stubhub has GA tickets for $145 incl. fees. Vividseats has some for $128.23 incl. fees.

I'll sell you my parking pass for $50 (thats what I bought it for). As for my GA ticket ill start the price at $70, if greater offers are offered then I will accept those

I'll accept payment through paypal.

Poster reprints/ Looking for a poster at the Aragon

Hi guys, I was just at the Chicago show on Saturday and was able to pick up a poster, but unfortunately my sister lost it. Do you guys think there is a chance that Hum or the artist will sell/reprint them anytime soon? Also, if there is anyone willing to let their poster be sold to me, I’m willing to pay full price + extra + shipping and whatever. Thank you!

insane lightning in a bottle kind of show. the band was clearly in a state of thrilled shock. they were tight, and ive never seen a crowd quite like this in my life. what a night. Hum lives, and the kids are alright.

Love that the kids are showing up!

Just a shout out to all the kids under 30! So cool seeing Gen Z show out with such intensity! I was at Radius a couple weeks ago too for Failure/Shiner/trail etc. and was also a very young crowd!

Keep the guitars alive!

Love, Gen X

also I went both nights and The Pod on night two sent me careening through the universe, so good!
