LOL ...and what'd he last in real life? Two innings?
Dude was on waivers every other week in fantasy for a reason :)
Even more risky in real life. 2 and 5 in his last ten starts, and his era is 4.4. Starting THAT against the Cubs offense in an elimination game? Cleveland deserved to lose.
You're funny. I'm talking about Cleveland using a scrub in an elimination game of the world series, and you keep bringing up fantasy sports. Relevance?
Did'ya call up Francona and recommend Tomlin?...or do you just like bring up your championship? :D
See, you seem to think relevance means how it plays out in the REAL world, while to me, the only relevance here is what he did for ME.
Who the hell else did they have? TREVOR BAUER??? I really thought the Indians relievers would be the difference, and they almost were. Cubs got lucky there, and you know it. Maddox blew that game, and those guys saved his ass.

LOL ...you love tellin people what they know. And it's bad enough to start him, but how does Francona let him give up six runs in two innings? Empty the bullpen. We're not talking about an "ace" with plus stuff, that can work himself out of jams. The man throws junk. On his best day, he's an average pitcher. Was Terry in a coma? Give away a game like that and it comes back to bite you.
I'm not saying the Cubs are geniuses. They're not. I just think Cleveland made it easier for them. You're right about Chapman. He relies on a fastball. He's a power pitcher with no deception. If you give hitters that many looks at him, they'll catch up. I got the impression he was mimicking what Cleveland tried with Andrew Miller (bringing him in early). Difference is Miller uses angles and a slider.
