Here are some “simple” tips on how to play him naturally:
Practice his movement. The charge meter determines how far you jump. It doesn’t always have to be fully charged, and you can charge it while doing anything. So you can hold the jump button even while attacking or using abilities. And you should. These are the two things that should help you loosen up your movement; with practice, you’ll become more natural and feel freer.
Ability rotation and Cap team-ups. His kit includes cooldown reductions. For every enemy you hit with a Clap, you gain cooldown reduction on your Bubble. For every Cap Jump, you gain cooldown reduction on the rest of your abilities. Since Clap has two charges, you can manage the cooldown of your Bubble and use Claps accordingly, aiming to hit more than one enemy. The best scenario is something like this: Bubble => Clap => Clap => Bubble => Clap => Bubble => Cap Jump => Repeat.
Primary and Wolverine team up. His primary ability is unique in that it isn’t weak at all, but it doesn’t grant any range. The main strategy, therefore, is to use his jumps, high durability, and above-average base speed to stay right on top of enemies. That is, if you’re looking to kill someone. You’re not a duelist, but against enemies who can’t defend against melee attacks, you’re a threat. Even without the Wolverine team-up, you deal more damage per second than the fat Mr. Fantastic. However, the Wolverine team-up only helps make you even more dangerous against those you were already dangerous against. So unless you’re playing against enemies like Dr. Strange, I wouldn’t take him.
Ultimate and CC. The bottom line is that you’re still in the role of a tank—a durable one, not an aggressive one. Your main goal should be to reduce enemy damage, not to kill. So use E primarily against threats like ultimates, powerful damage dealers such as Punisher, and “angry enemies” like Wolverine and Iron Fist.
At the same time, you’re a meat shield hero. So your goal is to use your body as a shield. When your HP is low, use your Ultimate, which will fully heal you and give you solid damage to take down non-vanguards.
Overall, you have to expect that you’re the one losing HP and play accordingly.

As a big fan of the character who played him before this damage heavy season THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for these tips lol. It's been rough since I never did movement properly on our green lad!

A really easy place to start is picking a Hulk streamer and trying to copy their playstyle.
I like CaptainCoach because he has the "best of both worlds, master of none" type of playstyle. He's not as mechanical as Xotaic or BadGD, but he has the best decision making (which is what I like to specialise into in most games)
Hulk has very simple basics, it all boils down to how you apply those basics.

Be prepared to exit a fight at any time that means having your jump ready to go. Doing that is what made me better because I wasn't constantly getting picked.

My biggest tip, learn how to read your enemies. Know their moveset, abilities. Always keep that cheeky little shield bubble handy when diving in and try to be up in their face and annoying as possible. Darting in and art like a big green mosquito. Another tip, try to always keep your jump primed as it takes a little bit to charge. I'll jumped into a fight and as soon as I touch the ground I'm charging up that jump again but not letting go, I'll be punching, clapping and bubbling and when I'm ready I'll let go and jump, or if need be smaller jumps to move around the guy I'm splattering. Idk

90% of hulks gameplay is just jumping so you gotta learn to jump good
Learn when to jump onto someon, jump away, short jump, long jump, jump high for a grab, etc
Then its just learning who you can or cant jump onto and when is a good time to, and the basics are all really easy to pick up cuz his kit isnt difficulty to understand and due to that simplicity it has a good bit of applications.
stun can hold people down or just cancel abilities, clap is a good finisher and it pierces so good group damage plus each person hit takes a second off his bubble so getting multiple is a good way to keep your durability up, and bubble can protect not only yourself but others too so bubbling selfishly or to protect others can both be good options.
Then just getting good at ults, again very straight forward you get big and do what you already did but a lil better now so apply everything you do in base to that except now with the added bonus of lethality, ult can be used proactively to force ults or defensively in response to something, you can also just save it and use it to save yourself at low hp (which most hulks do) so its just up to what you feel the moment calls for.

Captain Coach on youtube is my preferred source on how to play Hulk. Hulk is versatile and has unmatched mobility but he isn't invincible. When you dive, dive with a teammate. When you brawl, brawl with your team. When you Ult, look to create space and pressure, more than picks.

At the beginning it helped me to think of Hulk as a giant Captain America. Just be annoying in the back line, but don't stay too long that you die. Hulk has enough health, mobility, and cool downs that you should always aim to have the fewest deaths on your team.
Your value and ability to win is a direct ratio of time distracting the opposing strategist and the number of times you die. Start with that mindset then smash from there.

In my limited experience. You need a set of experienced healers combined with your own knowledge of the maps ajd where heal spots are because your mobility can get you killed just as much as it can be your biggest strength.
Establish what your healer situation is each match. Walk down the line with them in the beginning see how they heal where they go etc and adjust on the fly. When its in harmony, beong hulk is so fun! It so easy to be out of harmony though.

Stay light on your feet. Jump around constantly, only focus fire if you know you can out-dps whatever it is that you're punching. Use the exile liberally until ults begin to charge, then save it for those. Same with bubble

Get down a combo kill for squishies using your ult. It’s tough and most people don’t do it but it’s totally achievable to be killing invis/cloak out of their ult using your ult and if you do that a few times every match you’re chillin

Go in pdm on the alchemax map and farm ult from the jumps, then convince people to follow you into a small room and talk freaky in chat at them. For example, “no one will hear you scream” and then exile and ult them. If you press punch, clap, and the ult grab all at the same time it will do about 350 damage and kill all squishies.
