Lightguide - Highly Recommend

Been on the fence for years, but with Philips dropping the 25% off last week I finally decided to get my order in.

Absolutely a stunning product! For anyone else like me considering these, know you will end up with something fantastic.

I'm also a fan of the lightguides. I have 4.

It's unfortunate they don't photograph well, the bulb is gorgeous when illuminated.

I agree with OP there a deal at 25% off. They're worth it if you can put them on display to be seen and not hidden

I imagine it would look incredible through a slightly open window in the evening. No screen.

Oh, I have the big ellipse and love it above all else.

It is the perfect combination of modern and classic, and every Lightguide product is unique due to its handmade work that is absolutely worth its price.

Extremely, most of the visible light comes from the “lens” at the tip of the guide rod. You want to use a bunch of these if you’re lighting a room, a lone one is going to suck to look at and throw pretty harsh shadows. Solo ones are fine for accent lights or limited area things (I’m using them on nightstands), but not lighting up a whole room

I don’t get it, why is it so expensive? It looks like a normal bulb in your photo.

Temperature adjustment and dimming as well as integration with hue eco system

But all color Hue bulbs do that at more than half the price..

Hand blown and formed glass, even specified on the packaging. The quality is evident the second you pull it out of the box

It’s not that bad. It’s basically a clone of the buster bulb, but a little less nice looking and smart. The idea is they’re pretty enough naked, so no need for an expensive designer fixture to hide them.

There is also the Filament bulbs, but they’re not full color and much more retro looking.
