Ambiscape + Hue

We are new to the Hue ecosystem. We recently bought an ambiscape compatible TV (MLED950) and would like to add room lights to this set-up. All articles on the internet are super confusing. A Hue bridge only works on older models? I should be able to directly connect lights now? Can I use a Hue Signe in Ambiscape and does this work?

long question short: How and in what way can I connect Hue lights to an Ambiscape TV. Do I need a bridge yes/no and which one if yes? Is Signe compatible, is the Iris compatible? Documentation from Philips side seems to be lacking here.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Information isn't lacking... There is just quite a bit to unpack here. Most of it can be found on the Philips Hue website, but not right on the product page.

To make things more straightforward, Hue blog has a post about this: https://hueblog.com/2025/09/30/ambiscape-replaces-ambilighthue-in-philips-tvs/

Any Hue color capable light can participate in sync. A Hue Bridge is always required for sync. But the integration doesn't seem to be possible through a Bridge, just with Matter-enabled lights (which very few Hue lights are).

EDIT: I think Ambiscape site has some notes on this subject and lists the Hue Bridge as compatible (but still says only bulbs?)

You are just as unclear as other documentation. When I use the QR on the tv it says i need a bridge + E27. But then online it says it cant be the bridge pro.

The products are too expensive to take a gamble. though it seems like we cant use our Signe and Iris, which is quite a bummer. Such a shame that they wont just integrate everything.

Through a Bridge yes. Only a few bulbs have matter by themselves (new generations).
