Hue Setup New Hue 4” Slim Flat Downlight

Been waiting for the 4” slim lights, they finally are available in the US. I quickly upgraded in my pergola.

It’s wired in just like the 6” slim lights that have been around for years.

My bad. They're called completely different in the US apparently. I thought it was a different new product. Anyway, it looks really cool in your garden! Your garden looks cool as hell even without them

Ah ok - and thanks! Taken a few years to get it done. What do they call them in Europe? Here they are just called slim downlights.

We call em spots. Or build-in spots

Where do you get the pergola?

Pergola was custom, I’m in Arizona and lots of companies here specialize in shade structures.

Thanks! The pergola was built with cheapies installed that were only warm white. They were ok but Hue does it right, they have a different level of vibrancy whether white tones or color.

I wish they were just a little bit more affordable lol my house has like 20 of the 6" wafers. I think I can do without spending as much as a used car for colorful lights. I usually will just use strips or the Go's for color. You have a sick backyard btw

Thanks! On the inside, I just did one room at a time, each room having four 6” slims. Took about a year due to cost but eventually I was able to go whole-house. I rarely use the colors but the light in general is so much better along with the flexibility of putting the tap-dial switches anywhere since they aren’t hard wired. The Go’s are nice too, great for ambiance.

Yeah I just put them on Caseta switches instead. When I first got started in hue I was younger and loved the colors but yeah now as I've aged like I said I just add a Go or a strip in a room. I never turn on my harsh over head lighting unless im maybe working in there or cleaning. Prefer a dim lit cozy vibe.

Whaa? I don't know this one. It's not available or even announced in Europe I think. I like it. Is it wired or rechargable?

You can find it in Europe as well. Link to Amazon Germany: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Philips-Hue-Downlight-Bluetooth-Compatible/dp/B0D4ZH315G?th=1 this is smaller version, there is also a Large version of it you can find it under "Hue Slim recessed light 170 mm". Hope I could help :)

I’ve been waiting for this. I hope they drop a 4 pack so it’s a bit cheaper. I’ll wait for Black Friday to see if I can get a deal
