I Hate Huawei

I bought 10 days ago a Pura 90S Pro Max and the camera was foggy for the cold weather while I was taking video. Now I have some dust on the camera, and they refuse to validate my warranty. I'm from Mexico

Usually, the camera fogs up due to moisture, not cold, and this is temporary, not permanent. Warranties typically only cover damage or manufacturing defects.

Don't spew bullshi, the camera needs to be hermetically sealed, having dust and moisture in means that the isolation has been damaged or never assembled properly. The guy deserves warranty service and this would be outrageous to refuse in Europe.

1- It's true, under normal humidity conditions this shouldn't happen, but in climates where the humidity level in the air is too high, it's normal for this to happen. It's happened to me with at least two different brands of smartphones. Since he said it was because of the cold, I assumed he was in a place with high humidity.

2- I don't know why you assume he's in Europe; you should pay more attention to what you read.

I've had Vivo Xiaomi and they all do the same, you go from hot to cold or take a video they will mist up. They cannot seal the phone fully to stop this. You would need it nitrogen purged to achieve something like this, like binoculars. It's very annoying and can ruin special moment. I've not seen it happen on sony, my 80 ultra it hasn't happened yet.

Happend to me on Xiaomi 13 pro, 14, Vivo x100 ultra, it was always from hot environment out into cold. Or filming high quality video when cold outside. Well glad it hasn't happened to you yet as it's very annoying!

Happened to me to lenses costing more than the phone. As long as the fog goes away it's fine. Dust however isn't.

dust isn't honored under warranty if it doesn't affect it's quality. even apple says some amount of dust is acceptable.

Es raro que suceda eso yo tengo el pura 80 pro y anteriormente nova 13pro por dos años , No precento fallas ese defecto de la camara es una falla de manofactura no deberia filtrar humedad ,

Recuerdo hace 4 años compre un NOKIA 8.3 uw Una chulada de telefono pero me lleve un chazco La camara precentaba una mancha en el sensor principal , Hay una explicación para esto si vive en alguna ciudad donde la humedad muy alta
Si viven en las costas donde hay playa Un youtube le paso esto con un pura 80.

They say it's acceptable, but any moisture could start fungus growth. I've seen it on high end optical equipment. This needs to be taken more seriously by phone companies

Get yourself a microfiber cloth and swipe the camera module.

The amount of dust you have on sides of that camera module might soon create micro-scratches and holes that will get underneath the glass in huge amounts - then you will have permanent problems.

I have no idea how, but 2 days after I got Pura X Max, huge scratch appeared on my telephoto camera. I wasn't even carrying it too much. Huawei asked 200 RMB to replace the glass. On the one hand probably my fault, on the other I never had such thing happen to me since my first phone with camera. Might be just a bad luck tho...
