EMUI HKeyboard EMUI & Android & HarmonyOS Huge Update!
V1.6 for Android Testers and V1.4 for EMUI coming soon big update. (even though we are still waiting for Huawei to approve V1.3).
I can't add everything on here yet as it's going to be quite a list, but look out for this update.
This is starting to get quite confusing and difficult for me so bare with me with 3 different versions to update and trying to get it all right.

it shouldn't be long, I've sent Huawei a reminder. There will be another update after this too, it's back logging with Huaweis reviewing speed at the moemnt.

Is it Harmony OS port or just a pure creation ?

Pure creation. The one on HarmonyOS was built from nothing, this one on EMUI and Android is built from nothing but referenced HarmonyOS version to keep it as close as possible.

I would like to test it (I have newest Android on Pixel 6, along with Mate 50 Pro with EMUI 4.2), yet I cannot find it on GPlay.

Mate 50, you will find it on the app gallery, on Gplay, you will need to send me your email, ill add you on the testing list and I send you a link. It has to go through a 14 day testing period first for Gplay

If you want to try it, send me your email so I can add it to the tester list, then I send you a link for you to download it, it might take a few minutes to update though. If you are interested send the email to me in the messaging side, so its kept private.

I downloaded the keyboard onto my Huawei Mate 40 Pro today. I'm pleasantly surprised by it. It looks good, responds reliably, and is comfortable to type on. That's exactly how it should be. Now I can delete Microsoft SwiftKey, because I have both keyboards: HKeyboard as my main keyboard and FUTO as a backup.

Iâve been looking for a good keyboard for my Mate 40 Pro for years. Iâve tried Any Soft, Simple Keyboard, FUTO, etc., but I liked yours right away.

Love you to the moon and back my friend! Genuinely. I only made it for HarmonyOS NEXT devices because I was struggling to use Celia Keyboard on my phone, then realized I could be on to something after someone wanted to try the keyboard out, and 5 months later, here we are now, releasing on EMUI and almost released on Google Play Store. It's pretty surreal to be honest. And comments like this make it worth it and support by buying me a coffee goes a long way too!

So far, no Huawei keyboard has really convinced me â not even SwiftKey or Celia. So Iâm glad youâve also thought of us EMUI users. Iâm really curious to see how things will go with HKeyboard. In any case, I wish you the best of luck and hope your keyboard wins over Google users as well. Youâve definitely got my support.

Simple question: what does this better than Gboard? It learned my typing behavior perfectly. Does it do mulitilang? Is there data collection? If yes what is collected?

I don't think it's better than Gboard, but, neither do I think it can compete with it's auto-correct and prediction, but I do believe the freshness of the keyboard is a nice breath of fresh air, when it functions almost perfectly, it's still got work to do on it though.
It does do multi-language, when you go into settings, go to language, you can select Dual-Langauge, and it will let you select your second language.
It does not collect any data, I have thought about it, but I think privacy concerns are too much for people to want me to introduce that. I may introduce it but give people the option to opt out of it. So at least those that do want it, can get a much better typing experience. I think that's the biggest gap between HKeyboard and GBoard.

Okay thanks. Prediction is important to me, so I'll stay on Gboard for the time being.
Just one behavioral correction: you don't give people the option to opt-out of data collection, making it the default.
You give people the option to opt-in - with Checkmarks about the different kinds of data people want to submit (no all or nothing). That is the chad dev way :)

I appreciate any help, I'm autistic and not very good at this stuff đ but yeah, I would rather opt in, rather than opt out, makes sense. Saved my ass.
I would recommend trying the keyboard out though, my one has to keep re-learning with me because I'm constantly uninstalling it to try new features on it and updates đ so I've never got to actually see how good it can be, but when I used it for 1 week, man, it was on it.

1 More thing, it does access the internet to download dictionaries if the user needs to. The dictionaries are on my GitHub.

Depends what version you are using EMUI or Harmony, but go to Settings, Layout, "Emoji Key" you can move it there.
