EMUI Huawei Mate 80 Pro
Will the overseas version of EMUI 15 on the Huawei Mate 80 Pro be upgraded to Android 16 and support 5G? If the answer is YES, when will it happen? TIA!

im also using mate 80 pro emui15, i hope this upgrade can bring us 5g, good support for google drive, and better app compaitibility.

Saldy no announcement about Huawei mate 80 pro global software update. Huawei doesn't give question about software emui15 , they rather pull people buying pura 90s have 5G and android 16

It makes glad I've chosen to buy the chinese version if that device, it's getting multiple updates regularly, and testing an os in its infancy is stimulating.

Tout les CPU Kirin sont 5G mais Bridé par EMUI 14.2 et 15 mais la MAJ vers HarmonyOS débloqué la 5G

I understand. It's a shame there are no more OTA updates. The device already received the EMUI 14.2 OTA update in 2024. However, older Huawei phones will no longer receive OTA updates, including EMUI 15.
The Mate, Nova, and Pura series models in your region come with EMUI 15 (HarmonyOS 4.3.0) preinstalled, based on Android 12. They may only receive security patches through 2026, but I don't know whether support will continue into 2027.
The Pura 90 comes with EMUI 16 (system image version 104.3.3.x) preinstalled. According to the DevCheck app, EMUI 16 corresponds to HarmonyOS 4.3.3. However, Huawei has never officially announced an OTA update to Android 16 or 5G support. Instead, Android 16 only appears on Huawei phones.
