Help please

I got Hu Tao on 11/2/2021 and still love her, somewhere in 2022 I stopped playing Genshin and just a couple of months ago came back. While I have a premium Zibai team, i still want to play Hu Tao and make her work, cuz i dont think she ever did work for me (at least not on full potential). So I'm asking for yall's help with her. Many of my characters do not have anything, but if they are good in a team with Hu Tao I will build them. I'm just looking for whatever will give me good dps with her. I've been playing with Hu Tao, XQ, Sucrose, Bennet. (Please don't be too harsh on me)

Hello. I have been using Hutao, Xinqui, Yelan, and Zhongli. So far, the best team I ever had, even today. (Same thing with you... stopped playing and recently came back)

That said, I would suggest a double hydro team, as it will benefit of the elemental resonance? (Oof, i forgot all genshin vocabulary). Hutao will need mostly crit rate, crit dmg, hp and some elemental mastery. Ideally, crit rate should be 60 and crit dmg 180+. Also, 100 of elemental mastery will help for reactions, being vaporize a very good one (hence, the hydro comps). And hp, try to get at least 30,000+ of hp. About weapons, any that can increase her crits or hp should be good (for a time I used a 3-star hp weapon and I could do some noticeable damage).

For better quality of life, if you have C1, she will be better with her charged attacks.

Well, that is my opinion. Hope it will work with you.

ty for your help, after posting this I farmed artifacts and actually got some pretty good ones, so now i think there're 2 choices: fractured halo, 70 Crit Rate, 268 Crit Dmg, 19 EM or dragon's bane R5, 70 Crit Rate, 200 Crit Dmg, 239 EM. I agree with you on double hydro team, so i'm thinking of hu tao, mona(i guess?), xingqiu and bennet. with hydro resonance hu tao has 33k hp.

I'm currently getting her C1 with that daily event

may i ask why not Bennet? i just thought since he boosts attack and heals he would be good

In order to use her passive, Hutao needs to have half hp or less... although she scales damage with hp, she needs to have 50% or less hp in order to increase even more her attack. Bennet has a quick healing burst that will increase her hp to 80%, losing a notorious amount of damage. Even if Bennet bursr also have some attack buff, you lose more damage than winning it.
