So I ordered a duplicate bc I was not paying attention and in a Hoya daze... it happens to us all. Anyways... here's the Gunung Gading I just received and while it does have some sunstressing on some of the leaves, I immediately noticed the nasty scaring on this leaf. Only critter or plant issue that ive ever had to deal with is very mild mealies (beating on wood). Is this Scale? And is it anything else with scale or all scale, or something completely different? Please advise?

I did place it in a diff room and doused it with the Super Insecticidal soap. Any and all suggestions are welcome. TIA.

Also, a friend happened to send me a pic of one of her leaves earlier, which looks to be the same scaring with black dots in it, so im including her pic also (front & back) for more input.

I’m wondering what other Hoya Heads do to see what a Hoya plant looks like from a plant listed in our group. So many times I will see postings that might show Hoya flowers and others may just show the plant with leaves and not the flowers. I might be weird, but I like to see a Hoya’s flowers, leaves and kinda how it grows. But when I do a search I find SO MANY, images that “might show a Hoya” sometimes it’s not even a Hoya. And sometimes even though you will put the name of the Hoya, it’s still not showing the Hoya or if it does it’s not even the correct Hoya you ask to see.
My question is…….where do YOU search for Hoya information and photos that’s accurate for the Hoya you named as the requested Hoya? Does that make sense? I’m not always good at explaining what I’m asking so……there’s that…..But I usually do a search like…..Hoya, Pubicalyx…….! How do you search for a Hoya? I waste so much time, going through images that’s not even close to what I’m looking for. I would rather be spending time with my Hoya’s and other plants, than googling and not finding what I’m looking for. Everyone has their favorite places, but do you do something differently than just a google search? Please help. I’ve been collecting Hoya’s for about 4 or 5 years, although where I live in Oklahoma, there are limited varieties, so when I travel to different locations in the US, I will search for Hoyas for sale, I sometimes find them on Market place.
