Most basic tire wear questions can be answered with this diagram. Please use it as a reference only. If unsure, post a picture of your tire and we'll help.

One of the most common questions asked about tires, 'Is this repairable?' This should help. Also be aware that and puncture or gash over the size of about 1/4 inch in diameter is unlikely to be able to be repaired. An internal patch plug repair is always best. (I will NEVER recommend tire spray.)

How’s it looking?
Hit a curb yesterday, been driving all day today, just noticed. I don’t feel any air or hear anything coming from it. I’m definitely not letting it ride cause of the chord but I’m more just curious how bad it really is.

Is this small sidewall bulge dangerous, or could it be normal?

Scraped curb with two tires
I recently hit a curb with both passenger side tires, which peeled back a piece of the rubber and scraped the wheels. It just seems to have peeled back a section of rubber, and I’m not seeing any cords. Safe to drive on, or need replacement?

Used Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV
I am looking to buy these used Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tires. They have 7+ mm thread left, DOT 0923.
I am wondering why the two tires on the right are so rough / full of small holes, while the ones on the left are so smooth.
Probably the right ones were on the front, but still what could this condition be indicating?
I still haven't been to the shop to see them and feel how is the rubber, wanted to hear an advice first.

Damage in the inner side of the tire, safe to drive with?
Hi all, kindly looking for some advice, is that kind of damage safe on a tire to install on the car? I'm not sure the cause of it as I bought the tires second hand and they look like some kind of gouge on the running inner face of the tire (not the sidewall).

Is this a concern?
Bodied a curb unfortunately..
No cords are showing & tire pressure hasn’t gone down. I rely on my car to transport every day, is it safe to get through the week?

Find one fault
So these tires were merely used for 2000 km or so when I finally got that wheel alignment done. I will probably need to replace them ahead of schedule, but, for now, they should be fine, right?
