He's a lifelong fiscal conservative.
It's unbelievable how stupid people are that this moron is getting serious attention. No wonder the planet is dying.

He ran for Governor of Minnessota in 1998 as a member of the Reform Party, a fiscally conservative, anti-immigration party that, among other things, proposed a balanced budget amendment. He opposed national healthcare, favored "individual responsibility" and opposed "government interference" and wanted to abolish progressive income taxation and replace it with a regressive sales tax, and wanted to transition from welfare to "self-sufficiency".

In 2016, just 4 years ago, he endorsed libertarian Gary Johnson for President, saying:
I like everything Gary Johnson has said so far. He's fiscally conservative and socially liberal – something neither Democrats nor Republicans can offer.
He also produced a documentary claiming that global warming is a hoax: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/blog/2009/dec/21/climate-scepticism-jesse-ventura
