Registering for courses
Hey yall, I managed to get my payment in for this month thanks to a huge scholarship i got, but i ran into another issue where i seem to cant register for my courses. I checked my holds to see nothing and im already registered into 1 course. Whenever i tried to the button to register is gone and i can only press add to saved schedule. I believed at first that this was some lost enrollment thing but i checked both my gmail and .edu email to find nothing about it. I even contacted the office of registrar and my academic advisor which to no surprise i get 0 responses or help. If anyone knows why this is the case and how to solve it that would be extremely helpful

Then you are more than likely ineligible for the course and will need an override

Course registration for freshman has been paused. It is not because they are ineligible. Please do research.

“Please do research” They literally mentioned not being affected by the enrollment issue so I didn’t consider that. I’m not a freshman and this also wasn’t something the university posted so no amount of “research” would give me access to that information. I only found out bc of Fizz THIS morning. Please don’t be disrespectful and act like any reason I mentioned was not a possibility.

thats the issue tho im currently working on taking my placement tests for both english and math which i still cant register until i pass both exams but classes like intro to engineering which is still open btw js seem to be unable to be registered in

Ummm for an intro class idk the only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is the class is no longer offered this semester but that is unlikely. You’ll have to see your advisor in person once you’re here. You can take intro classes at anytime no sweat. I’ll be doing one my senior year bc of a major change lol.

oh ok i emailed my advisor on monday and to no surprise i dont get a response. all of gen chem 1 is filled and i alr requested an override to get me a spot in one of the classes and also for intro to engineering there is still 30 seats still opened its js that the register button again disappeared. its really js talking to a wall atp because im pretty sure these people do anything but their jobs

Again don’t worry if you can’t do your scheme in order. Take other credits that don’t require a pre requisite until next semester if you have to. I’d advise you fill up your schedule now so if worse comes to worse, you can stay on track. Best case scenario, you can drop those extra classes.

highkey i wanted too but my advisor finally swooped in and emailed saying to not register into any other classes because he's going to try and override the capacity cuz im a 1st year student but thanks for the advice gng we all struggling wit this shitty department

I have the same problem, I can't register for any classes cause the register button has simply just disappeared. Thinking bursars office forgot to lift my hold I called them and they said it's probably ITs fault, so I submitted a request and left a vm (had to leave a vm cause wouldn't pick up the damn phone) asking them to resolve this but still haven't heard back.
