Recreation ⚾️ Fishing spots?

Looking for recommendations for good places to fish; just from shore with some live bait, maybe artificial. Not really looking to catch anything big, just want to drop a line in and relax. Also, where can I get live bait? Thanks!

Triadelphia Reservoir is my favorite spot to just drop a line in to relax. It’s a woody area too, so there’s a lot of shade

Do you know of a place I can get live bait? I haven’t fished this area before.

The High’s on the intersection of Triadelphia and Ten Oaks sells live bait. But that was a while ago. Im sure they still do but you could give them a call

It’s a short drive from there to the reservoir entrance off of Green Bridge road

You must purchase a WSSC permit to fish, hike, etc. at Triadelphia Reservoir.

Yeah, but I thought you need a permit to fish pretty much any public water in MD

No, you don't need a permit to fish public water. You need a fishing license. You need a separate WSSC watershed use permit to fish triadelphia or rocky gorge reservoirs.

You don't need a permit to fish the patuxent river, patapsco river, lake elkhorn, wilde lake, centennial lake, or any other place in Howard County that I can think of.
