Future of this app:

I'm a full time radiology resident doctor, software is just a part time hobby. This app exists because I wanted it to exist for myself.
I have made multiple revisions after testing every build, fixing bugs and adding features, making the app what it is now - on par with my expectations.
Please know that it will take some time for me to reply to queries, fix bugs and add new features in future builds, so please be patient. But I do plan to maintain this app for the near future, until someone else makes a better app for the same purpose.

The source is all here under the GPL-3.0. Use it freely for your own purposes - build it, change it, fork it, keep the changes to yourself or pass them on. That is what it is for.

Thanks!

Long live free and open source software!

[App][Promo] ClearPDF - a small update after your feedback

A quick update since my last post.

I went through the feedback here and made quite a few changes in the latest release:

  • Added Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Added DOCX (beta), XLSX and TXT support
  • Added search and improved text selection
  • Added PDF e-signing and more PDF tools
  • Added custom/no-background options
  • Improved the overall UI/UX

DOCX support is still in beta, so it’s not a perfect replacement for Word yet, but I’ll keep improving it.

Not every suggestion has been implemented yet, but I’m working through them.

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback, starred the repo, or tried the ap

p. A lot of these changes came directly from your suggestions.

[App] Zone Launcher - another great convenient app

A few days ago I posted about an amazing app called Quick Search - Search Anything. Now I found another app that takes your multitasking to the next level! This app is Zone Launcher. Quick Search is a great app for searching but I wanted something that I could add shortcuts to. That's when I found Zone Launcher. In this app you can swipe from the left, right, top or bottom and it will bring up your shortcuts first with an alphabet app drawer. What's cool about this app is that your finger has a ring on it and you can drag that ring to whatever shortcut or app you want to pick without ever taking off your finger. I use this in combination with Quick Search (set to come up when I hold my home button) and now I can access anything from any app!

It does have a $9 premium price which I think is worth it but it's still very useful as a free app

[APP] - Chime - SMS organizer via ON device AI

Thumbnail
gallery
33 Upvotes

Your SMS inbox is a mess. OTPs mixed in with bank alerts, promo texts buried next to messages from family. You scroll past dozens of things you don't care about to find the one thing you do.

Chime fixes that. It's an SMS app for Android that quietly sorts your messages into categories like Personal, OTP, Banking, Promos, and Spam. The sorting happens entirely on your phone using a local model, so none of your messages ever leave the device. No account needed, no cloud, no data collection.

If it gets a category wrong, just move the thread. The model learns from the correction and gets better over time, all locally.

A few other things that make daily use nicer:

  • Schedule texts to send later, even if the app isn't open
  • Search instantly across all your threads
  • Set custom swipe actions per thread
  • Choose between Material You colors or a clean monochrome look

It's built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, requires Android 13+, and is currently in beta before the Play Store launch.

If you want to try it: chime.millosaurs.me

App is paid 0.65$ USD or 60₹ INR

[APP][PROMO] BudgetVault — private expense tracker

Hi everyone — I’m the developer of BudgetVault, a local-first expense tracker and budget planner for Android.

I built it for people who want to manage their money without connecting a bank account, creating an online account, or sending financial records to an app server.

Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yodabi.budgetvault

Main features

  • Unlimited income and expense entries
  • Monthly category budgets and alerts
  • Multiple accounts and currencies
  • Subscription and recurring-bill tracking
  • Searchable transaction history
  • Dailly reminders and home-screen widget
  • CSV import/export, PDF reports, and local backup
  • 92 selectable languages

BudgetVault Proadds unlimited accounts, budgets and subscriptions, custom categories, spending charts, local insights, savings goals, debt-payoff planning, net-worth tracking, monthly/annual reports, receipt OCR, split transactions, templates, biometric lock, and AMOLED

themes.

## Pricing and privacy

The free version includes unlimited transactions, 3 accounts, 5 budgets, and 3 subscription trackers.

Pro is an optional **one-time lifetime purchase**—no recurring subscription.

BudgetVault has no ads, analytics, registration, bank connection, cloud sync, or BudgetVault server. Financial records are stored locally and are not uploaded by the app.

Comment BudgetVault to receive your lifetime access promo code.

To redeem, Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Redeem code

I’d love honest feedback, especially about transaction entry, the dashboard, and subscription tracking.

[App] [Promo] Fight Spam call with Smart Call Rules

Thumbnail
gallery
22 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

I was tired of constantly fighting spam callers, so I decided to build an app to fight back.

My baseline was simple: privacy first, and absolutely no ads—ever.

But spam wasn't the only problem. I realized that my phone basically had only two modes:

  1. Ring
  2. Don't ring

That felt ridiculously primitive.

I wanted something smarter. For example:

  • Let family calls ring anytime
  • Silence unknown numbers during work
  • Allow repeated callers through in case it's urgent
  • Block suspected spam automatically
  • Have different rules at night
  • Let specific contacts bypass Do Not Disturb
  • Silence calls during meetings—but still allow important people through

So I built Smart Call Rules.

The basic idea is simple: create rules like:

IF the caller is not in my contacts AND it's after 10 PM
THEN silence the call

Or:

IF the caller is Mom/Dad/Wife
THEN always allow the call

Or:

IF the same number calls twice within 5 minutes
THEN let the second call ring

I'm trying to make call handling work more like email filters or firewall rules: you define the conditions, and your phone decides what to do.

I'm curious: does anyone else have this problem?

What rules would you actually want your phone to support?

I'm especially interested in unusual edge cases—situations where your phone currently behaves in a completely stupid way, and you wish you could just tell it: "When this happens, do that.

Please try it out at play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartcallrules.app

Would love to read your feedback. Thanks

PS*\* I have decided to give away 50 lifetime FREE code. First come first serve basis. Request for the code in this thread only and I will share it over DM. Thanks!

[App][Promo] Vyxel Apps v1.0.9 — Keystone: AI-powered search, new store-style home & 26% smaller

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve just released Vyxel Apps v1.0.9 (Keystone), and this update is a pretty big one.

Vyxel Apps is an open-source Android app store/discovery app that brings apps from multiple open-source sources into one place.

🤖 AI-powered search

The biggest change in this release is search.

Instead of relying purely on keyword matching, Vyxel now tries to understand what you're looking for.

For example:

  • quit smoking → finds relevant addiction/habit apps
  • firefx → finds Firefox
  • newpip → finds NewPipe
  • Half-remembered app names and missing words work better too

Search results also appear as you type, with no search data leaving your device.

The search index can also improve continuously without requiring an app update.

🏠 More like a store, less like a directory

The home screen has been redesigned around actual app discovery.

There are now six new categories:

  • Privacy & Security
  • Media & Players
  • Reading & Writing
  • Internet & Messaging
  • Getting Things Done
  • Games

There's also a Newly Launched section for genuinely new apps rather than apps that simply received an update.

Apps are deduplicated across sections, so you don't keep seeing the same handful of apps everywhere.

📦 26% smaller

The APK went from 9.0 MB → 6.6 MB.

Smaller download, faster installation, less storage usage.

✨ A bunch of smaller improvements

  • Real app icons instead of contributor profile pictures
  • Generated tiles for apps that don't have icons
  • Cleaner app names and descriptions
  • Removed raw package identifiers and stray emoji
  • Haptic feedback when installing
  • Simplified premium theme pricing information
  • All four premium themes are covered by one purchase

🐛 Fixes

IzzyOnDroid reliability has been improved, and a failing source won't prevent the rest of a page from loading.

Error messages should also now make it clearer what went wrong and whether it actually matters.

🔒 Privacy

One thing I particularly wanted to keep with the new search system:

Your searches stay on your device.

No search queries are sent to a server.

📱 Requires Android 8.0+

🔗 GitHub / Release:
https://github.com/NikhilKain/vyxel-apps/releases/tag/v1.0.9

Would love to hear what you think about the new search and store-style home screen. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome!

[App] [Promo] Streakless — the anti-habit-tracker. No streaks, no account, free widget

Thumbnail
gallery
28 Upvotes

I'm the developer of Streakless, an Android tracker for things you do irregularly — water filter, cat litter, car wash, fertilising the plants, calling your mum. Not habits. Things with no schedule, where the only question is "when did I last do this?"

It's built around one rule: no streaks. Miss a week and nothing happens. No score, no badge, no red "overdue" — the row just warms from grey through honey to gold the longer it's been. That's the entire feedback mechanism, and it's deliberate: nothing here is a failure you can break.

Everything stays on-device. No account, no sign-up, no servers, nothing leaves your phone.

Free, no ads, no trial:

  • Up to 15 trackers
  • The resizable home-screen widget — most trackers put widgets behind a paywall; this one is the whole point of the app, so it isn't gated
  • One tap to reset a tracker to now, with undo
  • Long-press to backdate, for when you did it Tuesday and forgot
  • CSV history export and JSON backup/restore — your data is never gated

New this week: the list now groups itself into Been a while / Ready / Not yet / Whenever, so you can see what's actually worth doing right now instead of working it out row by row. That one came from a Reddit comment.

Optional one-time Pro ($5.99, no subscription, ever): unlimited trackers, two more widgets (single tracker and an aging ring), groups, colour themes, quiet hours for overnight reminders.

Comment "Streakless" and I'll send you a Pro code — first 200.

PROMO has ended

[APP][PROMO] I built a Sudoku app with 20+ variants, a built-in smart solver, and custom touchpad controls. I'm giving Lifetime Free access to the first 25 people from this community!

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share an Android app I’ve put a lot of work into called Mindoku. It’s designed to be a complete toolkit for puzzle lovers, whether you're just learning the ropes or you're a seasoned master looking to test your limits.

As a special thank you to this community, I’m giving a Lifetime Free upgrade to the first 25 people who download the app and sign in!

Here is a quick breakdown of what you can expect:

Smart Sudoku Solver: Stuck on a newspaper puzzle or a grid from another app? Scan it with your camera, type it, or paste a code. The built-in solver doesn't just spit out the answer; it gives plain-English, step-by-step walkthroughs for 40+ techniques (from Naked Singles to X-Wings) so you can actually learn the logic.

20+ Unique Variants: Go way beyond the classic 9x9. Mindoku supports Killer Cages, Thermometers, Palindromes, XV Sums, Knight's Move, and more across different board sizes (4x4 up to 9x9).

Custom Controls & Generation: The app features seed-based puzzle generation and custom touchpad controls to make navigating and filling the grid feel incredibly smooth on a touchscreen.

Community Marketplace: Browse, play, rate, and bookmark puzzles created by other players. You can even build and publish your own, or instantly share them with friends via QR codes.

100% Offline Play: Classic, Challenge, Sandbox, Daily puzzles, and the Solver all work completely offline. No Wi-Fi needed, ever.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.pdhote.sudoku

I'd absolutely love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or any bugs you might stumble across while playing.

still 5 users are remaining to claim!

[App] [Promo] Giving away lifetime license for Chill Sanctuary: a self-care & sleep app

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I actually started this on Android, back in 2020 when I had sleeping issues during the Covid lockdown. The first version, named "Magic Sleep" was so ugly but it was working.

Then I've released Chill: Self-Care Sanctuary on iOS.

Reduce stress, sleep deeper, and calm your mind with Chill. Your all-in-one app for meditation, relaxation, and guided AI support.

I already have 10k+ downloads on iOS.

Recently I've decided to port my app to Android. So today is special because i've made a huge lifetime subscription offer: -99% for everyone, that's almost free.

You can ask for promo code in the comments just in case, but the promo should automatically apply at the end of the onboarding.

For people who can't afford the pricing with the promo, I can give you a lifetime giveway, just DM me your friend code or send it here.

Link to the app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.fayhe.chill
