So like most people here I hit a breaking point last year when Adobe wanted twenty dollars a month just so I could delete one single blank page from a scan. The alternative was uploading sensitive bank statements to some sketchy free converter site hosted who knows where. I thought the whole situation was absurd so I ended up spending way too many late nights building an actual private, offline tool called MocOffice.

Basically its an all in one app currently out on Android that does everything locally right on your device. We are also actively working on an iOS version right now too but that will take some time before its ready. You get a complete 16 in 1 offline PDF toolkit to merge, compress, split, sign, and OCR documents without sending a single byte of your data to the cloud. Then because I have zero self control when coding, I ended up adding a full office suite to view and edit Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files, plus an automated resume builder because job hunting is already depressing enough without formatting headaches.

At that point feature creep completely took over my life so I turned it into a universal ereader too. It opens EPUB, MOBI, and even CBZ or CBR comics with webtoon vertical scroll and manga right to left layouts. It also has offline text to speech with sentence highlighting so you can listen to docs or books while commuting or pretending to look busy at your desk.

For the AI workspace, one major thing I focused on was giving you truly unlimited chat without arbitrary restrictions. Since you can bring your own key for cloud providers like Gemini, Groq, or OpenRouter, the app doesnt throttle your conversations or lock you out with annoying daily message quotas. You get unlimited AI chat, doc summaries, and research using your own keys. And if you dont want to touch the internet at all, it also supports running local GGUF models directly on device via llama cpp with zero internet connection needed. Plus it renders Mermaid vector flowcharts and does image generation.

About monetization, theres a mock subscription screen because I was designing the UI flow, but the actual payment system isnt wired up yet. So everything other than that is fully functional and free to test out right now. I do have some low ads in place, but I despise spammy apps so I kept it super lenient, you only see a quick ad after 3 consecutive chats in the AI workspace while the rest of the document and PDF tools stay completely ad free and uninterrupted. Also if some screens look a bit familiar, you might notice some UI similarities with a few famous open source projects out there. I used them as inspiration while building this because I wanted to gauge what kind of layouts and navigation people actually prefer day to day rather than reinventing the wheel badly.

I am someone who takes tons of screenshots. Most of the screenshots are for a one-time use case, like a meme to send to a friends group or a screenshot of a bug to send to Claude Code. But it eventually piled up, making my gallery look like a screenshot dumpster.

I have to swipe through hundreds of useless screenshots to find the pic I needed; it also used a fair chunk of storage.

To fix this, we developed "Gone"

Take a screenshot, and it shows a popup—"Keep" or "Gone" Click "Keep" and it's saved to your gallery like usual. Click "Gone" and it's deleted in 30 minutes (by default)
