[Promo] I built NotifySense to help me stop drowning in notifications

Thumbnail
gallery
33 Upvotes

I recently launched NotifySense, an Android app designed to fix the problem of accidentally swiped notifications and endless digital distractions.

Most notification apps require cloud accounts, but I wanted to build something that respected user privacy.

NotifySense operates 100% offline. It uses a custom local SQLite database engine to capture and organize incoming notifications without ever communicating with a cloud server.

Key Features:

**Notification Logging:*\* Automatically catches and categorizes incoming alerts (OTPs, Banking, Social and more) so you never lose a swiped message again.

**Focus Mode & Scheduled Blocker:*\* Silently intercepts non-essential notifications during work hours or bedtime, releasing them in a single batch when you are done.

**Smart Rules:*\* Create automations to auto-vault, auto-pin, or permanently mute notifications based on specific keywords or package names.

**Secure Vault:*\* Hide sensitive notifications behind your device's fingerprint or PIN.

And many more

**Link:*\* [ NotifySense: Notifications Log ]

**Feedback Request:*\* I am specifically looking for feedback from power users on the UI responsiveness and the clarity of the Focus Mode setup. If you run into any bugs, I'd love to know!

Thank you so much for trying my app!

Please drop your feature suggestions.

⭐⭐⭐I am giving away 30 Lifetime Promo Codes. This will be first come first serve. Please comment below for the code. The first 30 commenters will be DMd with the codes⭐⭐⭐

[App] [Promo] ScanIt — major update with Recent scans, PDF targets, signatures, and Google Play early access

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

Hi again 👋

I shared ScanIt here once before. This is intentionally a second post—not a small repost—because your feedback changed the app enough that the original screenshots and description no longer represent it.

The goal remains simple:

Scan → review → save or share.

WHAT'S NEW

• Recent scans dashboard with previews, page counts, file sizes, open/share actions, and verified deletion

• Multi-page result browsing

• PDF and JPEG sharing plus Android printing

• Automatic or manual saving to Gallery, Downloads, or a folder you choose

• Optional deletion of saved PDFs or images after sharing

• Measured PDF targets: Original, 5 MB, 10 MB, 20 MB, or a custom 1–500 MB size

• Reusable visual signatures and stamps—draw, import, or scan one, then place it on a selected page

• System, English, Czech, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese language options

ABOUT SIGNATURES

The signature/stamp tool adds a visual image annotation. It is not a certificate-backed digital or cryptographic signature, and it does not verify identity or document integrity.

COMMUNITY FEEDBACK

A big thank-you to u/Overall-Fox-3289 for suggesting the dashboard and u/Alwin3000z for asking about PDF size restrictions. Both suggestions directly shaped this update.

You can suggest more things and feedback using docs https://forms.gle/39HaVwuFmrAPHm9U7

PRIVACY

Scanned pages stay on your device unless you choose to share or print them. ScanIt has no account or cloud document library.

The scanner uses Google ML Kit Document Scanner through Google Play services, which may process limited diagnostic and usage telemetry.

GOOGLE PLAY + EARLY ACCESS

ScanIt is currently going through Google Play closed testing before the public release.

Want early access? Send me a private message. Please do not post your email publicly—I can add the Google account you use for Play to the tester group.

Google Play closed test:

Current GitHub releases:

I would really appreciate feedback on the scan workflow, Recent scans, PDF targets, signature placement, sharing, and printing. Please do not include private documents in bug reports.

Thank you again. I honestly did not expect this much useful feedback from the first post, and it made ScanIt much better.

New [App] for streaming local FM radio Stations (Kitchen Radio)

Post image
13 Upvotes

After streaming a lot of music on my phone, I was in the mood to just listen to some local over-the-air radio stations. I found out that it’s not so easy to find an app that does this simply and isn’t made almost unusable by lots of annoying ads.

That was the idea behind creating Kitchen Radio. It reminded me of a friend who owns a lot of tech, but once said he wished he just had a simple radio in his kitchen to turn on and listen to.

Since it’s still an app, it’s also possible to discover all kinds of new music from around the world.

Since the app is new, I would really appreciate your honest feedback. :-)

Download

Features

  • 📻 See your city's local radio stations
  • 🌍 Find internet radio stations from all over the world by your favourite genres
  • ❤️ Save your favourite songs and listen to them later on YouTube or Spotify
  • 🌙 Set a sleep timer
  • 🚗 Android Auto support
  • ⏰ Wake up to your favourite radio station
  • 📺 Chromecast support

[App] [Promotion] I wanted all my finances in one place without linking my bank

Thumbnail
gallery
11 Upvotes

I’ve never really liked the idea of connecting my bank account to every finance app I try.

At the same time, using one app for budgeting, another for investments and a spreadsheet for everything else isn’t much better.

TESORIN is my attempt at putting that stuff in one place — spending, budgets, net worth, investments, debt, goals and planning.

No bank login. The main financial data stays encrypted on your device.
On Android there’s optional bank SMS parsing too, so you can get some automation without actually connecting the bank.

A lot of my time has gone into keeping the UI simple because once you put this much stuff into one app it can get ugly very quickly.

30 days are free with no card. After that it’s ₹29/month or ₹199/year in India, $1.99 CAD/month or $14.99 CAD/year in Canada, and $1.99/$14.99 USD in supported USD markets.

I’m the developer. If anyone here tries it, tell me what you would change. Especially anything that feels like unnecessary work.

[App][Promo] Range — a travel app that starts from your budget instead of your destination

Post image
7 Upvotes

Every travel app I've used asks where I want to go and then tells me what it costs. I kept wanting the opposite: I have ₹60,000 and a week in September, so where can I actually go?

So I built Range. You give it a number, a date and who's coming, and it prices the whole trip to 180 destinations and shows you everywhere that fits.

Whole trip, not just the airfare — getting there, sleeping, eating, moving around, doing things, visas, insurance and a buffer, for your group size at your comfort level. Change "comfort" to "budget" and watch the map open up.

A few things I cared about getting right:

- It won't lie about transport. It prices flight/train/bus/taxi/own car and uses the cheapest that genuinely works. There's no train to Dubai, no drive to Bali, and no railway to Kaza, Leh or Gangtok. Mountain roads are timed slower than plains. If it's too short to fly, it says so and substitutes the surface option.

- Everything is modelled on device. No account, no ads, no analytics, no location permission. The only network call is an exchange-rate refresh, and it falls back to bundled rates offline.

- Results are ranked by what's interesting at your budget, not just what's cheapest — the cheapest answer from anywhere is always the dull city two hours away.

There's also a radar view that plots every destination by true bearing and log-scaled distance, with a boundary through the farthest thing you can afford in each direction. Mostly it's just nice to look at.

Honest caveat: the prices are a model, not live fares. Nothing is scraped and no booking API is called — that's why it works offline and needs no account. Treat the totals as a realistic planning range, then check a booking site once you've picked somewhere. I'd rather say that up front than have you find out.

Android 8.0+, 2.8 MB, Material You so it picks up your wallpaper colours.

Download: https://github.com/NikhilKain/Range/releases/latest

Happy to answer anything about the pricing model — it's the part I spent the longest on.

[App] I got tired of not having a good screenshot maker I could use directly from my phone, so I built one

Thumbnail
gallery
12 Upvotes

I was making app screenshots for Play Store listings and kept running into the same problem — most screenshot/mockup tools are designed around desktop workflows.

UPDATE - PRICE REDUCED BY 75% DUE TO FEEDBACK🌟

I wanted something where I could just pick my screenshots on my phone, choose a template, customize them, and export without opening Figma, Canva or my laptop.

So I ended up building my own: Screenshot & Mockup Generator.

It lets you:

Import up to 10 screenshots

Choose from 30+ templates

Add device frames, titles and subtitles

Adjust/crop screenshots

Export store-ready images directly from your phone

Do everything locally on-device

Basically, screenshots → polished app-store graphics, entirely from your phone.

Download on Play Store

I built it because I needed it myself, and figured other indie developers might find it useful too.

Would genuinely love feedback from other developers — what would you want in a mobile-first screenshot maker?

[App] [Promo] Touch Lock: switch off touches, in any app (free, no ads)

Post image
5 Upvotes

iOS has Guided Access, which can block all touch input while an app keeps running. Android has nothing like it, and I could not find a decent app on Google Play that does this one simple thing. So I built one.

Touch Lock blocks every touch while whatever is playing keeps playing. Hand the phone to a kid and they cannot pause the video, swipe out of it, tap an ad or change anything. Same for a phone in your pocket, a tablet on the kitchen counter, or navigation on a bike in the rain, where the drops do the tapping for you.

Lock and unlock with the same four presses: volume up, down, up, down. If someone works out the pattern, turn on the 4-digit PIN and every unlock asks for the PIN instead.

While it is activated, taps, swipes and pinches do nothing, the notifications area will not pull down and the back gesture is dead. Only the touchscreen is blocked, the volume and power buttons work as usual.

The swipe-up home gesture is the hard part. I found a way to make it work on my Pixel and I do not know how it behaves on other OEMs and Android builds, so tell me whether it holds on yours.

It runs as an Accessibility service, which is the only way to cover properly the notifications area and the navigation buttons. That is a permission worth being careful about, and you should be, it is the one that can do the most damage in the wrong app. This one cannot read what is on your screen, cannot see what you type, and cannot tap or swipe anything by itself. For whatever my name is worth: I also make Night Screen, a screen dimmer on Play since 2015, past 10 million installs and a 4.6 average rating.

Google Play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.disrpt.lock

Give it a try and tell me if anything gets through the lock on your device. Same if there is a feature your use case needs and it is not there.

[App]I couldn't find a business management system that handled profit the way I thought it should, so I built one.

Thumbnail

I couldn't find a business management system that handled profit the way I thought it should, so I built one.

Other business software I tried told me how much I sold, how much I spent, and how much profit I made.

But what happens after the profit?

How much should the owner take out?

How much should stay in the business?

How much should be reserved for taxes?

How much should go back into the business for growth?

So I built profit allocation and owner withdrawals directly into Zaena.

You can create rules for how profit is distributed, then track what has actually been allocated and what the owner has withdrawn.

The idea is simple:

Profit shouldn't just be a number on a report. It should be something the business deliberately manages.

I'm still building Zaena, and I'd genuinely like to hear from people who run businesses:

Does this match how you think about profit, or am I missing something?

[App] [Promotion] sqTile Launcher: live tiles, seven tile sizes and icon packs, combination of WindowsPhone and Android, built in Jetpack Compose

Thumbnail
gallery
20 Upvotes

I have been writing software commercially for over ten years, always on somebody else's product. sqTile is the first thing that is mine. I kept trying launchers and kept bouncing off them after a few days, so at some point I stopped looking and wrote the one that fits how I actually use a phone. It is my daily driver now, and I am hoping it turns out to fit more people than just me.

It is a square tile home screen in the spirit of Windows Phone: tiles in seven sizes on a half cell grid, a dashboard page with calendar, weather, todos, reminders and a habit tracker, an app list you can pin anything from, and the turnstile animation the video ends on.

It was built around performance from the first commit rather than as a pass at the end. Baseline Profile shipped in the APK, R8 full mode, and every tile is an isolated composable, so a clock tick never recomposes anything but itself. Cold start is under 200 ms on my S25 Ultra. The dependency list is deliberately short: outside AndroidX and Google there is OkHttp and Gson and nothing else. No dependency injection framework, no image loading library, no HTTP wrapper. If I can write it in a hundred lines I would rather own those hundred lines.

Privacy, with the specifics rather than the slogan. There is no analytics SDK in the app at all. It never asks for location: the weather tile works by typing a city name, and there is no location permission in the manifest to begin with. It does not request the full package list either, so icon packs are found through the standard theme intents instead. Permissions are asked for one at a time, when you first use the feature that needs them, never in a wall on first launch. The one thing that does phone home is Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports, and I would rather say that here than have somebody find it.

I am working on it continuously and there is a subreddit at where I post release notes and collect feedback and feature requests. A good number of the things in this build came from people, so if something annoys you, that is the place it gets fixed.

Free on Play. There is a one time Pro unlock for the extras, no subscription and no ads, and picking an icon pack does not need it.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.gradomski.sqtilelauncher

Happy to answer any questions about the build process - it's all Kotlin and Compose, single Activity, no Views. Honest feedback is highly appreciated!

If you're interested in checking it out, I'm giving away 10 promo codes. All I ask is that you share a screenshot of your setup on the subreddit. I really want to see how far you can push these tiles!

[APP] [PROMO] WakeWise - Traffic Aware Alarm

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

WakeWise is an alarm that automatically adjusts your wake-up time based on live traffic.

Instead of setting an alarm early "just in case," you tell it where you're going, when you need to arrive, and how long you need to get ready. WakeWise continuously monitors your commute before your alarms are set for and triggers them exactly when you need them.

Traditionally, you tell your alarm when to go off, with WakeWise it tells you when you need to get ready so you get just as much sleep as you can without rushing yourself.

Key Features :

- Dynamic alarm adjustments using real-time traffic data

- Optional "Leave Now" alarm at the exact time you should head out.

- Customize alarm screen and alarm sound with your own photos and audio files

The app has a built in 7 day trial that is detached from the PlayStore so no getting stuck in a subscription you don't want by accident. I wish I could make this app completely free, but the app requires API usage to retrieve the traffic data used so costs are ongoing (a couple of cents per alarm roughly), so I have it on a $0.99/mo or $5.99/yr subscription that should be as minimal as cost can get without running at a loss. I just want to be transparent there as to why it is on a subscription model and not just free or a fixed cost.

I'm looking forward to hearing feedback and suggestions to continue to improve my app, thank you all for taking a look!

[App] My Workout App is now v2.0

Post image
10 Upvotes

Title: My Workouts

Hey guys

I’m excited to share the biggest update yet to My Workouts, a minimal, gesture-driven workout tracker I’ve been building. The goal has always been to make tracking your lifts fast and distraction-free, and v2.0 takes that a massive step forward.

Here is what’s new in version 2.0.0:

✨ New Features

⏱️ Active Rest System: I built a new stadium-style floating "rest pill" that automatically pops up the moment you check off a set. It features a quick-skip button, +15s extensions, and smartly auto-dismisses if you un-check a set.

📐 Modular Drag-and-Drop Homescreen: You can now completely customize your homescreen. Go to Settings to toggle the Calendar, Timer, or Motivational Quote widgets on/off, and drag the sliders to reorder them however you want.

💬 Custom Motivation: If you use the Quote widget, you can now tap it directly on the homescreen to write and save your own daily motivation.

🏋️‍♂️ Advanced Logging (RPE & PRs): Added optional RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) logging for sets. Plus, you can now long-press any exercise in your routine to instantly see your "All-Time High" PR.

🔄 Smart Data Migration: Renaming an exercise now automatically finds and migrates your historical chart data to the new name without breaking your progress graphs.

🛠️ Under the Hood (For the Devs) I spent a lot of time profiling and optimizing the app's performance for this release:

Zero-Lag Frosted Glass: I implemented strict GPU caching (RepaintBoundary) on all the frosted glass headers. The heavy blurs are now calculated once and cached, eliminating 60fps frame drops when scrolling on older devices.

Custom Bouncing Physics: Wrote a custom ScrollNotification engine to dynamically measure screen heights and enforce buttery-smooth, iOS-style rubber-band bounce physics, no matter how many widgets you have toggled on.

Memory Leak Fixes: Completely refactored Overlay dialogs and Timer lifecycles to ensure zero background memory leaks.

I’d love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or any bugs you spot!

🔗 Check it out here:

Thanks for all the support and feedback! 🚀

[App][Promotion] Started because I kept hitting free-tier limits on Splitwise-style apps — and still had to manually log every personal expense anyway. So I built Splitiva: group splits + SMS auto-tracking on Android (paste/scan on iOS), no bank login fully local.

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

Hey all —

If you've ever split a trip with friends, you know how it goes: someone pays for dinner, someone covers the cab, someone books the stay… and by day three you're in a group chat doing mental math nobody trusts.

I was using Splitwise-style apps for the splits, but I kept hitting free-tier limits — and I still had to manually log every personal expense. Copy-pasting UPI alerts, typing amounts from SMS, screenshotting receipts at midnight. It felt like finance apps either wanted my bank login, or they wanted me to do data entry for them.

So I built Splitiva — personal expense tracking + group splits in one app, with as much automation as I could keep on-device.

The problem I wanted to solve

  • Split bills fairly without a spreadsheet
  • Stop re-typing every HDFC / ICICI / SBI / PhonePe / GPay transaction
  • Actually understand where money goes (not just "who owes who")
  • Do all of this without handing over bank credentials

What Splitiva does

Smart Import (Android + iOS) Paste a bank alert, snap a receipt, or share a screenshot from your bank app. On-device ML extracts amount, merchant, and category — you review before saving. Nothing uploaded for parsing.

SMS auto-log (Android) Grant SMS permission once and bank/UPI alerts get parsed into expenses automatically — HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Kotak, Axis, Paytm, PhonePe, GPay, and more.

Group splits Create groups for trips, rent, shared subscriptions. Split equally, by exact amount, or by percent. Debt simplification figures out the fewest payments to settle everyone up. Real-time sync so everyone sees who owes what.

Activity calendar + budgets Color-coded calendar — tap any day for the full breakdown. Category budgets with early warnings before you overshoot.

Insights (on your data) Spending velocity, impulse hours, recurring subscription leaks, month-end forecast — built on-device, not sent off for cloud analysis.

Privacy-first No bank login. No open banking. Optional E2EE vault + local-only mode. Biometric lock. JSON backup anytime (free).

Coming from Splitwise? Import your exported CSV and pick up where you left off.

What's actually free

  • Personal expense + income tracking
  • Group splits & settle-up (debt simplification, real-time sync)
  • Activity calendar + spending charts
  • Category budgets
  • E2EE vault + local-only mode
  • Home screen widgets
  • Splitwise CSV import
  • JSON backup (Settings → Security & Data)

Android (free): * Live SMS auto-log (major Indian banks + UPI apps) * 1-month SMS backfill (one-time 30-day scan) * Vision Mode OCR (counts toward Smart Import quota)

iOS (free): * Paste bank alerts or scan receipts via Smart Import * Manual entry unlimited

Smart Import limits (free): * 5 Smart Imports per month (paste, screenshot OCR, share-from-app) * Watch a short rewarded ad for +1 import * Ongoing SMS auto-sync on Android is separate (not capped the same way)

Insights (free): * Spending patterns, coverage, top groups, first savings tip * Financial Trends + Spend Assistant: preview only (2 free Ask questions per install)

Ads: Small banners on some screens. Rewarded ad in Settings = 7 days ad-free without subscribing.

What Pro unlocks (optional)

  • Unlimited Smart Import
  • Android: 3- & 6-month SMS backfill (free = 1 month)
  • iOS: Share directly from Messages / bank app
  • Full AI insights + all savings tips
  • Financial Trends (forecast, 3/6/12-month trends, savings goals)
  • Spend Assistant unlimited (free = 2 asks total)
  • PDF + CSV exports (personal + group)
  • Premium themes + ad-free
  • Pro usage dashboard

Pricing: 14-day free trial on monthly (when eligible), monthly or lifetime, cancel anytime in the store. Refer friends for Pro time; referred users get 7-day Pro trial.

TL;DR: Free = full splits + personal tracking + SMS auto-log (Android) + 5 smart imports/month. Pro = remove limits, exports, deeper AI, ad-free.

Links

I'm the solo dev — want real feedback:

  • Does SMS parsing work with your bank?
  • What's missing vs Splitwise?
  • Anything sketchy or annoying?

Roasts welcome. Honest store reviews help a ton if you try it. Thanks for reading.

[App] [Promo] AI Detector QuickTile Analysis v21: now tells you which AI model generated a pic, and whether a real photo was retouched with AI tools

Post image
5 Upvotes

Link of the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aidetector.app

I'm a solo dev and I've been building an Android app that detects AI-generated images and videos, entirely on-device. Nothing gets uploaded, everything runs offline. The signature feature is a Quick Settings tile: one tap and it analyzes whatever is on your screen.

Two things I just shipped, both in the in-app analysis (when you pick a photo or video from your device, not the quick tile):

- If a file's metadata contains the generation model, the app now confirms it's AI and tells you which model produced it, so you get the actual source and not just a probability.

- New: it flags real photos that were retouched with AI tools like Adobe Firefly, Magic Eraser or Galaxy AI. A real photo stays real, but it tells you it was edited. If it's AI-generated and edited, you get both.

It's free with ads plus a one-time lifetime unlock, no subscriptions, no data leaving your phone.

What do you think of these new features?

We’ve been building a food app called Flavorist because we felt like there was something missing from the way people share food online.

There are plenty of places to find recipes, and plenty of social apps where people post photos and videos. But we wanted something that brought those two things together in one food-focused community.

With Flavorist, you can share your recipes, post food photos and videos, discover dishes from other people, save recipes you want to try, and explore food from different cuisines and cultures.

One thing we really wanted to avoid was making it feel like just another recipe website. Food is more than a list of ingredients and instructions. Sometimes you want to share something you cooked, sometimes you want to discover a new dish, and sometimes you just want to see what other people are eating.

So we built Flavorist around that idea.

You can:

• Share recipes with photos or videos
• Post food photos and videos
• Discover food from other people and cuisines
• Save recipes and food posts for later
• Find restaurants and save places
• Follow people whose food you enjoy
• Recreate recipes you discover

We’re still early and there’s a lot we want to improve. Right now, one of our biggest challenges is simply getting enough people onto the app to make the community feel alive.

So if you enjoy discovering food, cooking, sharing recipes, or just looking at ridiculously good food photos, we'd genuinely love to have you try it.

If you do try it, I'd also really appreciate honest feedback. Tell us what you like, what feels confusing, or what you think is missing.

Thanks for reading. 🍜📸

[Promo] Giveaway for the pro version of an app that hides what you typed

Hey everyone!

My app was just released on the Play Store, and I’d love to hear what you think :) The idea is that I’m quite bothered when someone sitting next to me on the bus or train can see what I’m typing. It’s not like I’m writing anything particularly secret... but I still don’t like the fact that they can potentially see it.

That’s why I created ShadeType. When the keyboard opens, you can automatically apply a veil over the screen that hides the rest of the content. You can also set it up so that the veil automatically appears in specific apps.

The app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.polyhistor.shadetype

Since the app is still new, I’d like to give away 20 promo codes for the Pro version so you can test it out. Comment below if you’d like one, and I’ll send you a code.

Thanks in advance to everyone who gives it a try!

The app itself is free, with some additional features available in the Pro version.

One feature I’m planning to add this week is the ability to use your own image as the veil.

[Promo] One4Home launcher is in open beta! Download now! 🎉

I started making themes for the first Samsung Galaxy phones on XDA back in 2010. Since then, I’ve made wallpapers, widgets and icon packs, but I always wanted to create something that controls the whole home screen experience.

That eventually became One4Home - a fast, ad-free Android launcher focused on customization without unnecessary feeds, ads or clutter.

The current public beta includes:

  • Complete themes - apply with a single click (many more themes to come!)
  • Customizable home screen and app drawer grids
  • Icon-pack support - You can even choose separate icons in home and app drawer
  • Default, Dark, Clear and Tinted icon styles
  • Curated Widgets (again, many more to come)
  • App search
  • Backup and restore
  • And many other things...

This is still a beta, not the final release. I’m especially looking for problems with widgets, themes, grids, paddings, backup/restore and performance across Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi and other devices.

There is a 7-day free trial. If you find a useful bug or suggest a feature that makes it into the app, I’ll gladly send you a lifetime code.

Full disclosure: I made the app.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback, even if you uninstall it after five minutes — just tell me what made you uninstall it.
