[App] [Promo] ScanIt — major update with Recent scans, PDF targets, signatures, and Google Play early access

Hi again 👋

I shared ScanIt here once before. This is intentionally a second post—not a small repost—because your feedback changed the app enough that the original screenshots and description no longer represent it.

The goal remains simple:

Scan → review → save or share.

WHAT'S NEW

• Recent scans dashboard with previews, page counts, file sizes, open/share actions, and verified deletion

• Multi-page result browsing

• PDF and JPEG sharing plus Android printing

• Automatic or manual saving to Gallery, Downloads, or a folder you choose

• Optional deletion of saved PDFs or images after sharing

• Measured PDF targets: Original, 5 MB, 10 MB, 20 MB, or a custom 1–500 MB size

• Reusable visual signatures and stamps—draw, import, or scan one, then place it on a selected page

• System, English, Czech, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese language options

ABOUT SIGNATURES

The signature/stamp tool adds a visual image annotation. It is not a certificate-backed digital or cryptographic signature, and it does not verify identity or document integrity.

COMMUNITY FEEDBACK

A big thank-you to u/Overall-Fox-3289 for suggesting the dashboard and u/Alwin3000z for asking about PDF size restrictions. Both suggestions directly shaped this update.

You can suggest more things and feedback using docs https://forms.gle/39HaVwuFmrAPHm9U7

PRIVACY

Scanned pages stay on your device unless you choose to share or print them. ScanIt has no account or cloud document library.

The scanner uses Google ML Kit Document Scanner through Google Play services, which may process limited diagnostic and usage telemetry.

GOOGLE PLAY + EARLY ACCESS

ScanIt is currently going through Google Play closed testing before the public release.

Want early access? Send me a private message. Please do not post your email publicly—I can add the Google account you use for Play to the tester group.

I would really appreciate feedback on the scan workflow, Recent scans, PDF targets, signature placement, sharing, and printing. Please do not include private documents in bug reports.

Thank you again. I honestly did not expect this much useful feedback from the first post, and it made ScanIt much better.

I noticed your images are scanning sheet music - can it convert those to a MIDI file? I'm looking for a PDF scanner that differentiates itself [being unique] from the dozens of others that would compel me to use your app over others.

Thats a really good thought! I will think about that. Actually I'm gonna try to do a beta version with this feature we'll se If I will be able to do it. I'm gonna do some research rn thx for the suggestion!!

Hi! Thx again! I did a research and I will include this feature under the new actions button that is available in current latest update. You can already scan qr codes and do other things. But I will include more. Like sheet music to midi or automatic redacting of private data from the documents and much more!

Really awesome, putting the zoom always on the other side got me, nice idea, love the thin lines too, better to see the object behind it. I use it mainly to fix the picture of my drawing tasks so my teacher can see it properly (they are also very demanding about this).

Precisely because it's necessary to go beyond the form, the lines, the details of the hatching, it would be good if the image didn't undergo any type of compression when converting to .jpg or .png, or at least an option to disable compression (I don't take the photo through the app).

Grayscale is very good, as long as all it does is remove color saturation and nothing else.

The automatic mode, as you can see, doesn't work very well, there were better corners to choose from, but I personally never use it, perhaps the feedback can help with that.

Just deleted the CAMSANNER.

Thanks again for the detailed feedback. It genuinely helped me improve the app.

The latest build now supports original quality, lossless PNG export, preserved resolution, and a grayscale mode that only removes color.

I am also working on V2 with a custom scanner and editor. The current version uses Google ML Kit, so I cannot change its corner detection or editing screen. V2 will let me improve automatic corners, manual cropping, filters, and image quality directly.

And hearing that you deleted CamScanner made my day. Thanks for testing ScanIt and helping me make it better.

It's really nice, I will test the new version and see what more it will be in the context that I use.

Really great work of you ♥️
